it's cool how ibara doesn't look like total ass anymore, even on my lcd monitor with no scanlines at 60hz

Re: Too close for comfort? the revival?
As Mushihimesama was the first game on SH3, maybe it wasn't as optimized by CAVE as the latter titles? Also, very awesome that Blue Guwange rip is from the 360 port. I wonder if it would be possible to convert a Guwange PCB to the blue version with these roms.

I didn't think we'd ever be able to emulate Guwange Blue.
I'd stick to playing that on 360 though. Probably no hope of the same thing happening with Futari 1.01 though.

You may need a better PC. On a friend's computer every mushi roms we've found run perfectly (obviously without sound).Nasirosuchus wrote:Mushi is still running at 60%

Same for me (well, 70%), while every other new release is running at 100%, even Futari.Nasirosuchus wrote:Mushi is still running at 60%

Re: Too close for comfort? the revival?
You're probably running the sets using the wrong roms.
The SH3 speedup is tuned per-set, if you run a set with the wrong u2/u4 roms then the speedup will not work.
There are 2 Mushisama sets (and a 3rd one undumped) make sure you use the right roms with the right set names, or it will run much slower, chances are you're running the mushisama set as mushisam or vice versa.

Re: Too close for comfort? the revival?
for the mushi troubles folks:
just tested it again and mushisam runs terribly while mushisama runs well. there's some kind of weirdness here, because i have the exact same files in both zips (according to the MD5 sums). try running mushisama and see if that helps, if you aren't already.captpain wrote:for some reason one of the mushi roms runs super slow for me and the other one runs full speed... ymmvNasirosuchus wrote:Mushi is still running at 60%

As I said above, the speedups are tuned per-set. Use the right roms with the right sets and everything will be fine, use the wrong roms and it won't.captpain wrote:for the mushi troubles folks:

Re: Too close for comfort? the revival?
I got Mushihime-sama running at 100% after renaming the rom to mushisama
There's no way it could have been my PC considering that 1) it's a quad-core with 8GB of RAM, and 2) everything else was running at 100%.
Thanks, IseeThings.

I still can't get my Ibara Kuro working, just tells me CHD or ROM is missing.
Think it was u2 and u4, but I've tried several.

Re: Too close for comfort? the revival?
Thanks, that was my problem exactly - 100% now. Looks much better/sharper in MAME than on ps2, at least to my eyes. Forgot how much I love the buggy theme in this one.captpain wrote:for the mushi troubles folks:

Re: Too close for comfort? the revival?
Seconded. This version is far superior to the PS2 version. The only thing missing is some sound.jefflev13 wrote:Thanks, that was my problem exactly - 100% now. I'm thinking that would be a stretch. I'd be happy with just ibara kuro for months if I could get it to work, everything else does but I dont much care for them.Uzumakijl wrote:All i need to see now is some Daifukkatsu

Aye it got every single rom working for me apart from death smiles , thanks for the heads up. Just had a play of the futaris and 1.5 original feels way easier than 1.0 original , bullet speed is no where near as brutal.Muchi Muchi Spork wrote:guwanges.zip
