Hell no. Those character designs turn even me off

also once you've gone through this new "shmupping heaven", there's basically no good ones left

If that's how it is, I wouldn't worry, at least not in the short-mid term.

There are already more than enough shooters around for a couple of life times.

Anyway, how is all this mysterious intrigue going? Is 2012 and the end of the world coming early? Did CAVE run out of fuckpillows?

That fix makes the games run basically at full speed. The only problem is that Death Smiles and Ibara Black Label give the "missing files/chd" error, but that should be easily remedied.

Do I really need to remind here that no links to sites containing roms are allowed?

The question was rhetorical. There were such links posted and they have now been removed.

For those of you experiencing missing file/chd errors, try manually launching the roms through the command prompt and seeing what exactly is wrong. It's usually a checksum error and using this method bypasses them but if theres a missing u23 or u24 file then copy that from some other rom.

Those files are in the rom, but the game still won't launch.

Maybe you have just become profoundly deaf without realising? Has the television also become muted for no apparent reason?

Well, I can only confirm Batsugun has full music now. I'll check the others later. I mean, some people got so stuck up with the comfort issues and CAVE lolis they forgot mo34&%·&% Batsugun is fully blasting! :o

edit: yeah, Dogyuun has sound. V-Five too (did this one had sound previously?). Ok, things've gotten several magnitudes better now.

Dogyuun and V-Five at least also have music. I reckon that would make Grind-Stormer as well.
V-Five sound must be pretty new.

How do I change the display settings in MAME64? I'm only used to using MAME Plus and versions with a similar GUI, so I'm a bit lost here. :P
