I think he means "sh3/4: fixed big-endian mode [R. Belmont]". As in CAVE sh3 hardware
But I don't have a clue.

I've seen it, but sh3 is a processor used for several devices, nothing specific to cave hardware

Yeah I know. But I think that was he is thinkinh. I don't see anything other.
And I don't think the CAVE sh3 games will be playable for some time.
Futari and Deathsmiles are both easy to get to the Xbox 360 and make them playable in MAME will only make CAVE mad.

Muchi Muchi Pork was added as Not Workin, b---es!!!
So close for comfort that people got 3rd degree burns out of this.
edit: just kidding, it's that every time this thread gets bumped I always end up laughing. Ah, yes, Comedy gold and good times.
edit: echoing the post above me, I would rather see a proper PC port, considering they are starting to port their games everywhere. If Gundemonium proves to be successful or does well on Steam, it wouldn't hurt to have the rest join the party.

They can threaten legal action all they want, but once it's out, it's out.

Perhaps Haze should take note.
Remember what he posted something on FBA forums a while ago when he warned of a legal action regarding Cave PGM games being emulated? That was a serious drama.

But people who can't afford the game at release can't get it then ANYWAY!Keade wrote:I have to disagree strongly here, zaphod...
It is a known fact that most publisher expect very quick revenues and good sales at release, not two months later.
Besides, many publishers do want people to buy the games new and try to think of more ways to prevent second-hand sales. DLC are another obvious way of killing resales (though not always released in that purpose, of course).
That's why people who can't afford new releases and wait aren't a problem.

Just played Futari Ultra on my laptop with a Saturn pad. What a time to be alive.
Shame about the speed and lack of sound. Almost there...

Hell yea!
I was thinking about going for it anyways on the 360, but my TV is pretty shitty and my arcade stick is less than ideal.

OSX SDLMAME v0.143u7: http://sdlmame.parodius.com/
I got Death Smiles, Espgaluda2, Ibara, Ibara Kuro, Mushihime Tama, Mushihime Sama and Mushihimesama Futari 1.0 running smooth but slow. And no sound. Still pretty cool!
In case anyone else was wondering why DDP DOJ isn't showing up in the ROMs list anymore I noticed this:

Don't you have to 1cc a lot of times to unlock Mushi Ultra? Hopefully we can somehow get around that. Mushi Ultra actually looks pretty fun from vids unlike Futari Ultra, but that could change once I actually get the chance to play it. I would still wait for it to be perfect though which is why I never bothered trying to emulate the PS2 version.
Futari 1.00 would be pretty interesting to try out since I don't think 1.01 will actually be emulated.
Outside of that, I'm not interested in the Ibaras, and I already own Deathsmiles, and ESPGaluda II for the 360.

Re: Too close for comfort? the revival?
I'm still trolling CAVE about dem Steam ports. I still think, even if emulated, releasing the games there would give them some nice cash flow. Something like Deathsmiles II wouldn't be that hard to adapt either considering it's already a game built for a PC-like architecture.
Anyway, waiting for mjclark to spot this. We need some extra britishness and hilarious commentary. This is gonna get so awesome AND SO CLOSE FOR COMFORT IT'LL BURN!

Afaik it works the same way as futari 1.00, you need 200 points or something for ultra and 1ccing original gives 1 point and maniac 2.Chaos Phoenixma wrote:Don't you have to 1cc a lot of times to unlock Mushi Ultra?
