Good work there.
The purpose of Garland seems to be... control karma (wtf), hence "Karma Compressor". So, people who tried to control karma died a karmic death. Speak of irony.

One day, some huge, armed machines appeared at every corner of the world. The only thing known about them is that they are created by people of the old world - so, they were called "legacies".
The legacies never aggressively attack humans, but will kill anyone that enters their territory. So, humans are afraid of them, and attempted to solve the problem by destroying all legacies. It's actually possible for human army to destroy even the strongest ones among legacies (called "Great One"), but after 5 days or so they will always just mystically appear in the same location again.
Humans managed to capture a defeated Great One. After some inspection, they find out, with shock, that a human girl is inside the Great One. They attempted to regenerate her, and the regeneration went surprisingly well.
She recived the same education as any other kids, but she also possess some superhuman abilities - compare to the Great Ones, she have stronger firepower and also regenerates even faster than them. In her first experimental flight, she destroyed every single Great One in the world in two days. Humans revere her as hero, and call her "Aoxola".
After that, humans regenerated another girl in Great One - she was called Denli. This time the regeneration is not as successful as the first time; her regeneration ability is considerably weaker than Aoxola's. Even then, she and Aoxola are still more than capable at keeping the Great Ones dead.
But when the regeneration process of the third girl Mahilo is completed, Aoxola and Denli disappeared. Humans dosen't know why, but one thing is sure: our protectors are gone.
The game seems to be about Mahilo (third girl) and Yoxola (fourth girl) seeking for Aoxola and Denli.
