UGH barely any improvement at all. I just want to break 700 before the end of the week and I'll be satisfied I guess :/

Goddamnit, killed right at the end of the last stage by something flying up my ass, twice in quick succession. :/
That'll teach me to be bell-greedy. Was on for a 1.5mil+ run as well, what with that 100k bonus for tagging the final boss.

1.6mil+ with optimisations? Loads of bell drops in this run, and stupid deaths in various places.

Re: STGT'11 Week 1: Gokujyou Parodius
I think I lied about being done. After taking a look at some videos I think I can manage to get to special stage, but I can be rest assured that nothings gonna happen once I get to that stage.
...and honestly I think I'm getting addicted to this game :X
EDIT: Nvm my brain is mush, I think I'm done with this game for the STGT after all since I cant play tomorrow.
Overall I think this was a good pick for the STGT, of course we're gonna get frustrated with it since its HARD. If it weren't hard and didn't have some sort of scoring mechanic then everyone would be getting really good scores that are based on how far they got alone. My main annoyance with this game is how I got a pretty damn high score compared to everyone else so far but didn't even get past stage 5, yet they can get to stage 6 or 7. If it weren't for the panda then my score wouldn't be near what it is because I usually get out of stage 1 with around 350,000.

I think I am done - getting to the frustrated point. Have solid runs going in the 400K+ range, Koitsu's condom just bursting and full up on lives as well. With out fail I hit the lip-ship and either end my round there, or squeek out with one bullet running and no spare lives - very frustrating, over and over the same thing. It'd be one thing dying, it's another when you die as result of huge green projectile penis's coming out of Angelina Jolie's mouth.

WHY THE HELL COULDNT I WAIT TO GO AFTER THOSE BELLSAHGDAKGKLHS
Ok whatever I hit my personal goal, there's a fair chance this will end up being my final score.

I wish I could give this a better shot, but I have to leave for a vacation in several hours, and darned stage 3 is still destroying me the vast majority of time.

moozooh - 622,700 - Koitsu - 4+1 - MAME
A surprisingly enjoyable game, but tough as nails indeed. Even never picking up missiles nor powering up beyond level 3 (had to choose Manual to do this, although I truly loathe checkpoints) achieves only as much as keeping the rank just a step below max. Still not sure whether going for the Moai battleship is a good idea compared to going through stages 3/4 at supposedly lower rank, but I got it here. Also, kept the chain through stage 2 in this run. Unless you're super awesome, the trick is to avoid killing bell-producing enemies at certain spots where grabbing them is especially problematic (hello, offscreen scrolling).
Also, posting this for agill/DK64_MASTER, just in case:
DK64_MASTER - 751,400 - Koitsu - 5 - MAME

Stage 6's anti-air rabbit area sure looks damn tough!
Will put this to YT after STGT season.

Woot! Lowest score, but first Hikaru. I just don't like Goku Paro, and I didn't have a lot of time to really focus this week. Oh well...
EDIT: Old score.

Somehow, I seem to do better when I'm in a Skype call.
Also, should I keep going for 1,000,000+ or should I call it a week?

Got a late start this week due to work and incompatible MAME versions keeping me busy.
Anyway, I guess this is okay for a starting score:

Pretty sure I can break 500K before week's end. I'll consider myself a god amongst men if I can break 600K!

First score.

Will definitely try to improve. I really want to break 400k but it's going to be tough. Inconsistency continues to haunt me no matter what game I play.

Gonna try to beat this before tomorrow, but runs on this game are pretty unpredictable.

I really wish I would have studied the later stages better before I got this run. I got like 400k on panda, and some massive chains on 2 & 3. Went all survival on 4 and 5, but got owned by the suicide bullets. Maybe I'll learn the other stages tomorrow, and give it a go again.

Just got pissed yesterday at myself and stage 3, endless failure... I get the Moai battleship after stage 2 in every run lately, the hundreds digit rule from Gamefaqs somehow doesn't seem to apply (I think I had four different digits after stage 2 and always got to Moai stage). And then stage 3 becomes a ragefeast. At least my bellchaining got a little better, they're still annoying though.
