Wow, that's a big difference! 400pts is like Phoenix's entire health bar! Hopefully this will encourage more players to explore the rest of the cast!

Well that was fast. Now all they have to do is make Phoenix less retarded. Watching players try to run down the clock on Phoenix to avoid Dark Phoenix is fucking dumb. What's even worse is it works .. :/

Honestly, I feel like the only thing that really needs to be done with Phoenix is to make Dark Phoenix's X-Factor damage not so ridiculous. The fact that she can basically chip you out with projectiles that literally track you down is a bit effed up.
I'm more sad when I see a Dark Phoenix take out a whole team in 5 seconds. The guy did so well to have all 3 guys at almost full health and now here comes DP lvl 3 x-factor.
It's a complete guessing game once she's out, with it being highly in her favor. Bullshit character

Nice to Vergil and Strider made the cut though.
It looks like there's some pretty big changes in general, based on what's been observed in the videos. For one, a successful team aerial exchange depletes one bar of super from your opponents gauge instead of granting you one bar (gg Phoenix teams). And it appears X-Factor itself MIGHT (big might though) only power up super moves. I'm sure we'll hear more in the coming days though.
EDIT: Forget what I said about X-Factor, lol.

Vergil
Rocket Raccoon?
Phoenix Wright
Nova (Marvel)
Nemesis (Resident Evil 3)
Iron Fist (Marvel)
Frank West
Dr. Strange
Plus, the other 4, Strider, Firebrand, Hawkeye, and Ghost Rider.
That is, realistically, the best roster update they could have come up with. Nobody is ever going to be 100% happy and I know that if I want goofy dark horse characters like Dr Strange and Phoenix Wright or Rocket Raccoon I expect people I don't care about like Hawkeye/Vergil/Iron Fist. They happily managed to avoid total garbage fanwank characters that are extremelty popular like Gambit and Carnage so I'm pretty pleased about that. Surprised they didn't throw in Roll/Megaman and the Lost Planet Robot - those would all be easy ports from TvC as they're cartoony/mechanical so just need a bit of poly-smoothing to make them Marvel-ready.
Me likes Firebrand, Nemesis and Vergil additions, but wtf Phoenix Wright and Rocket Raccoon? lol. I'm sad no Megaman (preferably X) or Gene yet. COME ON. I'll wait for the inevitable re-release with all the characters included.
Edit: and why an upgrade so soon? It's not even been 6 months yet.
"Sooo, what was it that you consider a 'good salary' for a man to make?"
"They should at least make 100K to have a good life"
...
You know, while you guys are all shitting on Capcom, I continue to give them credit for digging up characters like this:
Edit: Oh yeah, this was that series that Mignola worked on before doing Hellboy.

Eugenics: you know it's right!
