I hope this is the correct place to post this but I am in the process of starting a Slap Fight youtube channel.

Link to video of me getting 1,572,870 on an original PCB in a cab, (reaching end of 4th loop) the camera stopped recording at 1,524,740 although the final score is visible in the stills and the final part of the clip.

I do the suicide 1st life trick but have scored over 1,200,000 without it.

I know Twin Galaxies isn't that well respected round these parts (the TG score is 838,000 ish), but if anyone has any links to other highscores on Slap Fight / Alcon I'd be grateful to see them.

Thanks, but definite auto-fire and speed hacks on there, if not worse.

Some of the weapons just aren't anywhere near as effective as that when used legit.

I got 1,001,240 on MAME 0.106 using Slap Fight (English Bootleg)

1 life start also, so couldn't use the no fire trick.

Surely not. I've never played with auto fire, it would ruin the game.

In this board autofire is allowed because Shmups.com community is near the japanese ideology about arcade gaming.

This is how I feel, as the 1 million mark has been shown in this thread to be a record but for arcade.
I do know autofire is the norm on the MD version.

That's what happens if you play with auto fire. Bears little resemblance to playing real as Shot becomes so powerful. There's no need to collect any powerups.

Well I haven't been on these boards in a very long time, so my apologies everyone.

BTW cool video, Alcon. It's nice being able to actually see someone playing the game rather than viewing a MAME .inp replay (which are perfectly legit in their own right).

Yes, it's fine. I don't see much problem with using rapid fire on the original version. The laser shot is only effective without it, though.
