If your willing, I also would love to see more maniac replays when space and time allows.

I'll just add some filler

Naiera - 4,296,424 - Stage 4 - Default (Original)

I've only been playing it seriously (in "tate") since Saturday, so I still suck, but at least this time I got to stage four and made the hi-score on my own table :P

I made a new stage 1 video (5.99 million), and added stage 2 (31.4 million) and 3 (93.3 million) videos. The videos.

The stage 2 and 3 videos came from the same run, but it completely fell apart when I died on the stage 4 midboss. Hopefully I'll pull off a 250 million run one of these days.

MANIAC
sffan - 11,990,201 - Stage 3 - Default

I've found out I'm way better at scoring and survival with S-type.

I thought I was going to 1CC original for a moment, but I somehow managed to drop the 4 lives I had in reserve on the last stage. Is it just me or is it impossible to simulate the actual rank you have with the practice mode? I've done some practice using the no miss setting, but in proper runs the bullets are much faster.

you can

have a run in practise with rankX, so it begins on stage 1, you can retry as you want, and finish at stage 5 with a game over, your rank can be saved
then you can practise with your "real" rankX

Having tried this, I would say you're probably right. Everything is just so much more severely ranked up in real runs. The only reason I can think of is that score has an effect on rank, thus why saved rank seems easier (because your score will start at 0).

yeah CVM, you are right too

so the solution is to do all stages before the one you want to practise, each time...

Oh, that's why I can do it in pratice, but never in the real run...

Still praticing Stage 3 Orginal Mode, never 1 life stage 3 yet... I used to loss 2 to 3 lifes in Stage 3. :? I can manage to go as far as Stage 5 mid-boss, but the lost of lifes in Stage 3 really prevent me going any further...

Edging closer...

CVM - 8,326,030 - Stage 5 - Original

Edit:

CVM - 8,498,740 - Stage 5 - Original

If I could just reach the boss with anything but 0 lives and 2 bombs, I'll be set.

My abysmal scores, all on default settings:

Herr Schatten - 4,591,516 - Stage 4 - Original

Herr Schatten - 9,720,519 - Stage 3 - Maniac

Herr Schatten - 163,155,999 - Stage 5 - Arrange

Actually, I think my arrange score isn't all that bad for a "survival" player, which once again reveals my main problem with playing shmups: I always die with full bomb stocks. If I was able to put my bombs to good use I'd have advanced much farther into the other game modes by now.

Nice. Is the final boss in Original as retarded as it is in the others?

No, it's much easier by comparison (well, there's no true final boss with impossible patterns to suck all your lives away). My main problem is that the rank really screws me over. I dropped 2 lives on the boss in that run. I know all the patterns, and can no-bomb it but they're a lot faster when you reach it properly than in practice.
