Ok now, just found what my new challenge was. Never tried hard mode before but seeing SFKhoa's hiscore post, I'm obsessed with trying it, in part to see what the major changes are about in order to make scores go that high.
Eh, just gave hard mode it a shot. The game is MUCH more interesting on that difficulty setting. More bullets that's for sure, but the multiplier seems to fall down more slowly than on normal, meaning it can reach new heights, and can be carried on much more easily from area to area. Judgement Silversword just became even more interesting!
Area 17 is a real pain on that difficulty level!

=EASY MODE=
LGB - 1742120 - ?
I have no clue what stage I was on. It was whenever you fight the [Mirror Shield R E H]. It's a bit tricky. I get the feeling you don't take Easy mode scores, but hey. It could be fun trying to get 100% shotdown.
--------
=NORMAL MODE=
LGB - 3017590 - Stage 13
Got to Magnificence and was shot down.
--------
=HARD MODE=
LGB - 2102140 - Stage 6
Yowza. But Mitsurugi is *still* ridiculously easy.
--------
So I took a few runs on each mode, and have figured out where my priorities lie: Easy, for when I want to "look ahead"; Normal, to actually try something; Hard, for when I want to have a bit of fun.
This game is a good deal like Omega Fighter, but if Taito/Toaplan had made it or some sort of sequel to it.

Hiya LGB,
welcome to the boards and congrats on checking out this litle gem.
Also thanks for submitting the EASY core, but I'll refrain from making a seperate table for that untill there is (significantly) more interest.
Now come on and beat my lousy score.

The score you posted there, was it on normal or hard mode?LGB wrote: LGB - 2102140 - Stage 6

Whoops. Sorry for the delay, I've been trying to beat both of the scores, but with no luck. That was for Hard mode.
EDIT: Here's the current .sav file. (taken with WSCamp 0.21) I haven't played it much.

Sorry for the double post but:
=NORMAL MODE=
5249640 - Stage 16
=HARD MODE=
4415880 - Stage 8
*whistles*

EDIT: Did it again!
=NORMAL MODE=
6095410 - Stage 17-18?
Holy hell, that's a lot of bullets! It's that stage with the hundred gold ships that shoot straight streams. I forget whether it's 17 or 18.

Welcome!Ceph wrote:5,690,580 (normal)

Since the WW version is even more score I assumed every score would be from the Rebirth Edition (commercial) game anyway, but you are right: I'd better clarify in the first post.By the way, the commercial edition (Ver.4321) is quite different from the WonderWitch version. I hope everyone here is playing the commercial game; otherwise the scores can't be compared.
Have you tried Cardinal Sins yet?
Even more impressive eh!?
If someone want me to make seperate tables or even threads for the WonderWitch version or JSS:Cardinal Sins, then tell me.

Well JSS: Cardinal Sins it's a different game than JSS and Rebirth Edition in the sense that it's a caravan type game. So it's not necessarily better, just different in scope.iatneH wrote:Is it possible for a game to be better than JSS? I want a WonderWitch!
But it's certainly even more impressive in the technical department. (like the Recca of the Wonderswan!).

Re: Judgement Silversword (Rebirth Edition)
We're going to need to ask people about versions now. Preferably, make a large topic for Eschatos, JSS, and CS.

Re: Judgement Silversword (Rebirth Edition)
*updated* added asteroid's score.
Eschatos is a whole different game and JSS: Cardinal Sins really should have a place in the section with Caravan mode games imho.

As stated in the thread title this thread is ONLY for JSS: Rebirth ed.Despatche wrote:We're going to need to ask people about versions now. Preferably, make a large topic for Eschatos, JSS, and CS.

Re: Judgement Silversword (Rebirth Edition)
I'm glad to see JSS reaching new people. I just ordered Eschatos mainly to be able to play JSS on TV. I've tried to 1cc JSS while I was on vacation last winter but couldn't do it. Maybe playing it on another system will give me the final boost I need to achieve this. I will definitely target a higher score too...
Re: Judgement Silversword (Rebirth Edition)
Welcome back all, I've really lost my edge. Haven't even broken 10 mil again in normal mode, but work suddenly got busy again just when I thought things would ease up.
Sprite limit off makes a big difference at least for myself, I'm not sure whether scoreboards will be segregated - but at least the X360 version is much easier to obtain so I wouldn't mind a migration, I'll keep my WSC copy around but I honestly don't see myself doing serious score play on that one anymore.
