Judgement Silversword (Rebirth Edition)

Post by Super Laydock »

Thread no longer maintained, new thread can be found here!

A brand new thread to post your high-scores for this amazing Wonderswan shmup. A TATE and manic handheldshmup, need I say more!?

RULES:

* every setting has to be default (so no God modes or more lifes at the start, ok!).

* Only scores from Judgement Silversword: Rebirth Edition please.
Should you want to post a score for either the WonderWitch original (the non-commercial one) or for it's "sequel"called Cardinal Sins, then please ask me to open a new table or make a new thread)

* Oswan scores now officially accepted despite earlier comment by me. They filtered down the list anyway I guess, so there's not point in prohibiting those now anymore.

Please post the score as following for easy updating of this thread:

Ghegs - 13,215,020 - Area 27

Haven't played JSS much lately, but I really should get back into it. I can still get 10m consistently, so hopefully I won't have to do much re-learning before I'll be tackling the dreaded twin Mirror Shields again...

Not much progress. I often come near my high score, but can't seem to surpass it. Everything goes reasonably well till I reach Area 21. I manage to loose all my remaining lives their every time (had 3 once at the beginning of the Area, but screwed up again) :(.

My Oswan score is better then my real deal score because of controlling and what not, is this allowed?

That's a very nice score there and it would propel you into second place...

But I'd rather have everyone using the original game and post the scores on that format. It gives everyone the same advantages and disadvantages of the WS control scheme.

If there is more interest in posting Oswan JSS scores I could set up a seperate table for it though...:)

Anyway, why not also submit your "real deal" score?
I can't be worse than mine... ;)

Only just better, but I'm fine with that rule because it really is part of the game, to be able to play it in the original conditions.

Furoshiki - 7,802,870 - Area ??

Hi all - long time no see. I haven't improved my score since the old boards (haven't even played the game, truth be told) so I'm not sure which area I reached.

Some good scores here now, think I might have to go back and see what I can do...

That mirror boss guy killed me. Is this game anymore playable on the SwanCrystal? On the Wonderswan Color its almost impossible to see...

Oh, and I promise I won't post again until I move up a rank or two on the chart. I was just happy with my 2 mill progress. :)

Hey Super Laydock, I know this might be overkill give how little competition there is with this game, but would you be interested in putting up a Hard Mode high score table as well? I've been dabbling in that recently and I'm having A LOT of fun with it. I think I actually hit level 20 as well (maybe not, maybe more in the 17-18 range).

If you decide to do a Hard Mode table as well:
jp - 11,597,100 - Area 16

Definitely getting the hang of it. If I could get past the frickin' Mirror boss I could see myself hitting #3. Though I highly doubt I'll ever beat the Twin Mirror Bosses so... yeah, thats about as far as I'm aspiring to go!

^^ congrats on your new high jp! Making quite a progress and if you continue this then maybe Ghegs' superb hi score could be under attack in a while (I'd be impressed if you topple it). :D

Yeah sure, why not. In fact I'll try and get a decent score for that tonight too. :D

I had gotten a higher score earlier... but I turned my Wonderswan off before it got saved. Argh!

And my SwanCrystal should be here soon! So yippee for that! :D

My apologies SL, don't mean to keep updating while I'm at the top, but since I made a massive improvement, I had to post it! :D

Hard Mode:
jp - 20,876,910 - Area 20

The Mirror boss in hard mode is a beast. Wow! But now I can pretty much get to where I get in Normal Mode in Hard Mode. So hopefully when I go back to Normal Mode (which will be like, now, since I THINK I can snag #2 there, 8) ) I'm hoping it at least SEEMS a lot easier.

And my SwanCrystal came in today!!!!! I'm going to go get it now!!!!!!!

Now if only other people would join in the Hard Mode competition...

No problem! I am glad you are so persistant and obviously liking the game! And with that score you have every right to bump the topic with a new high! :D
Now if only other people would join in the Hard Mode competition...
I've had about 2 hours of JSS in the last three days, but I feel a bit out of touch atm (not having played it for quite some time). My hard mode score is catching up a bit, but don't worry about your top spot for now (my first endeavours on this mode for ages haven't gotten me past the 10 mil yet ). Will post a score this weekend though!
With some more people here having the game now I am sure there'll be others joining in soon too.

Again ppl, feel free to post your scores even if they aren't making the top 3 or even 5. I am not too good either (I am last at the default score list), but am not hesitant to post my high! It's always about the fun and there's almost always someone out there taking comfort in seeing you're score and taking it as a challenge to break it! :D

ahhh! wonderswan is my favorite portable now.

captain ahar - 5,358,060 - Area 13

not completely sure on the area, might be a bit farther along (as in 14).

in hard i've just broken 5 mil, and gotten just past the first judge (same run).

incidentally how many total areas? i've played for slightly less than two total play hours at this point and am looking for the sense of scale.

after receiving the game and spending some time with it. it was clearly worth it, even if there weren't any other games for the system i wanted (which there are).

jp is the man. i will be saying this for a long time yet, be prepared.

edit: thought i'd mention too, i bought one of the PSP d-pad covers, and while i wait to fix my psp i just threw the thing onto the wonderswan and playing is a lot more comfortable. it looks like this

There's a total of 31 Areas.

Haha, I remember recommending this to jp some months ago. Good to know the idea was solid, I was lucky enough to find the official Wondercoin myself.
