DEL, you're amazing, I've got exactly the same 4.74mil yesterday on stage 1

the key of this stage is just after the second power up, after the first big ennemy, this link is pretty important for the end of the stage

Actually stage 3 is very(the most) important stage because more than 100mil can be made without rapid, many parts are possible to skyrocket (the 1st one for exemple)

Played for an hour tonight and the best I could muster was a meager 5 mil increase. Bleh.

Maniac Mode:

TWE - 64,803,016 - Stage 3 - Alternate

I only made it halfway through stage 3 in this run.
I average 5.5 mil on stage 1 and 25mil on stage 2, but I keep fucking up stage 3.

It's just a total pain in the ass to chain consistently. Hopefully it gets better with some long-term practice...

Thanks. It has taken a lot of practice, but it isn't so hard really. The key is holding A+ & C during most of the stage and getting very close to the big green walking bugs in the second half of the stage just as they appear, which makes your counter rise quite fast, I usually end with 10,000+ on my counter, though i peak with 11,000~12,000 on the last big green walking bug.

I got mine today and played around for a little while. I got this on my first try. My other 2 tries ended up with a lower point total.

Does anyone else find stage 4 the hardest to chain? I always manage to stuff up before the mid-boss and at the start of the second half - my chain is around 40,000 at the stages end if I'm lucky.

at first sight, the second part of stage 4 seems easy to chain, but the counter usually falls down before the dragons, there's no much "counter freeze" ennemies
I didn't practise this part of stage 4, we have to find a good way in order to not loose much counter

and geez this game is fun. (somewhat) proper scoring mechanics are finally being absorbed. and i can get to the first boss in Ultra on one credit now... big improvement.

If everything goes as planned I should be able to get a score of 250-260 million without any life bonus, meaning I might be able to pull off a 300 million run one of these days. I can get to stage 4 with 140 million (like once every hundred attempts), but I only made it with 110 this run.

Oh, and I can get 5.9 million on the first stage, I imagine I'll hit 6 million sooner or later.

I have a level 1 clip up on my site (5.85 million), but the arrange video is a giant 280MB, and well, that's all I've recorded, so we'll see I guess.
