Signius Layzar - 245,090,573 - Stage 5 - Arrange
Default settings.

Can't believe I got that score, it was a pathetically average run 'til stage 5 where I made it to the boss without bombing/dying once. Goes to show, even if you stuff up in the earlier stages you can still get a pretty awesome score - stage 5 is point central!

Had the true final boss down to about 1/10th of his life too, gah!

Can someone tell me, do you get another 1up when you score 250mil?

Just the 1-up at 20 million, 100 million and the end of stage 3. Just 3 1-ups in the game, which seems to pretty much be a Cave standard (with a few exceptions).

I wouldn't call "skyrocketing" silly, it's part of the game's scoring system and essential for any high score. Those who don't do it will have very low scores compared to those that do. You don't need the rapid fire buttons for it (i have done it without them, and seen many others as well), but the rapid buttons make it easier on my hands, especially during long play sessions. I'd rather have a high score on the alternate table than be a cripple w/ a similar score on the regular table, but that's just me.

you're right, skyrocketing is the heart of the scoring system

as the kakusei for espgaluda

It seems that's SFKhoa has half-updated the ranking (kawaijb - 145,467,199 - Stage 4 - rapid fire maniac ), so please make it clear, I have two different scores in maniac and not even the good one...

You can choose to be in both tables if you want. Also, I'm trying to update this as much as possible, but the popularity of the game makes the table hectic to deal with since I'm getting shitloads of new and updated score entries :D :D So sorry if I'm missing anyone's score, especially kawaijb. And if I AM missing any of your scores, tell me.

Yes, but the problem is Kawaijb's Maniac mode scores are all with RAPID FIRE.
Please move his 145 mil score in Maniac DEFAULT and my 59 mil score in Maniac DEFAULT to the ALTERNATE RAPID FIRE ranking. We both used rapid fire controls to get our scores. Thank you! :D

my arrange score is still not the good one lol (182706299 default)

if you put scores in both table, there's no need of 2 tables, maybe an overall ranking with the "rapid" mention would be fine, in that way everybody knows about the rapid use or not

That would be a great idea, the only thing is getting people to agree with this idea.

I think this may be a good idea as it will make it easier to update. Just make another column which mentions the use of rapid fire. I think it would work OK. There really isn't much difference between default and rapid control scores at the moment. And the curent highest scorer (MMM)
doesn't even use rapid.

that's your ranking

so you have to decide about this (both are good to me because the result is the same, the one table solution is easier for you in order to not make mistakes)

I'd also recommend just putting the use of rapid fire buttons next to the high score instead of having 8 seperate tables. There's just too many lists in that first post.

freddiebamboo - 80,587,213 - Stage 5 - Default Maniac

Big improvement on 3 & 4, bombing the final attack of the stage 4 mid-boss loses around 15k on the counter, but still gives you 20k to play around with on the snake things at the end

Scoring;

Stage 1 - 2.5ish (unsure if decent score can be made here)

Stage 2 - 15mil (leave mid-boss with around 25k on counter)

Stage 3 - 40mil (chained till the bit before the head)

Stage 4 - 15mil (90% of score made after mid-boss)

Stage 5 - 5ish (blind panic)

Edit: Added Maniac to score (Thanks Kawaijb)

your score above is in maniac mode for sure...

my best on stage 1 is 4.6 million without rapid, and 6.6 is possible but I don't know if it need the use of rapid buttons,

kawaijb - 211,329,940 - Stage 5 - Default arrange mode

kawaijb - To answer your previous questions: the power combo is 'C and A+'.
To set two C+ buttons for short and long range C+ banking on the PS2 = I don't know if this is possible, as the rapid full auto only allows 1 setting. Maybe someone else can shed light on a solution :?:

Your 4.6mil for Maniac ST1 is just dandy! Mine's only 4.53mil.

SFKhoa - The new Hi Sc Table makes a lot of sense, nice work!

Cheers, DEL

It's your table so you can run it as you see fit, I just think at some point default players may feel cheated when they see alternate players above them.

Huh, I guess I did better than I thought.

mannerbot - 154,009,704 - Arrange - Default Settings

Certainly didn't expect to be this high up on the list on my first run, at least.

Can someone explain to me how you achieve the skyrocketing without using the rapid buttons? Do you just mash full-auto and shot together or what? Thanks. :)

I believe you need to tap A+C together. C+ removes the need for continuous simultaneous butting tapping.

Cheers Cigs! I guess you would only use that method on enemies with a child counter? Or does it boost your score with everything? Sorry for the Spanish inquisition. :P

Amazing score MrMonkeyMan. I'd really like to see that run as well. And maybe capturing runs of other modes would be appreciated too... :D

Had my first sit down on the game last night. Ran up a couple of back 2 back Maniac ALLs. My scores are jumping due to the effective C+ banking on the PS2 Ver. However I'm having Big Heap Trouble with my Stage 3 scoring - a small mistake can cost 50mil or more.

kawaijb - Of course I was joking! Got 4.74mil on Maniac ST1 last night

Regs, DEL

Ps. I won't post a Maniac score until I have ST3 sorted out.
