my only true gripe with Pink sweets are the bosses/enemies. Feels like im fighting duplo block enemies.
Have you seen the background for stage-7 yet?

I'm liking the art style in both games, nice blend of cute-em-up and badass Raizing choppers and tanks. There are some truly absurd bullet sprites and patterns in PS, and I though Ibara was hard...

Pork Arrane is definitely the easiest mode on the disk, I must have got 15 score based extends on my 1CC run. Not sure how much lasting appeal that mode has, unlike PS arrange which so far I'm only hearing enthusiasm for.

When you make a purchase it is tied to two things, the GamerTag that purchased (or redeemed it), and the console it was purchased on.

So, say GamerTag Pixy1 buys an XBLA game on console #1. All GamerTags on console #1 have access to this.

Then Pixy1 downloads this XBLA on console #2. This is only accessible when GamerTag Pixy1 is connected to Live.

But, Pixy1 can do a License Transfer to console #2. Now all GamerTags (online or offline) on console #2 will have access to this XBLA game, while console #1 no longer does (unless Pixy1 is connected to Live on it).
njiska wrote:So I just tested this on my elite. Signing in with only my JP account, which has no licenses attached to it on that console. It seems a large number of my arcade titles are indeed showing up as trial. However some that have been moved are still showing full game. I was also able to use my BlazBlue DLC signed in with another account and it was originally purchase on my roommates 360. I have no explanation for why this is. maybe i've just gotten lucky. The bulk of the stuff appears to be lock to trial as you say.
If you did a license transfer to your Elite, you need to redownload (or reactivate) the transferred licenses. Go to Download History, click on an item and then select "Download Again." If the item is already on the hard drive, it simply "reactivates" it, if it is not, it will download it (duh). Do this with a few of your XBLA games, then try signing into your JP account to see if they're accessible.

I assure you it has all been redownloaded.

One thing I recall from when I did my license transfer though - you could only select a certain number of games to license transfer (using the website tool). I think it was a max of 30, or something like that. Maybe you have to do the rest manually via the 360s download history? It's pretty shit really, there should just be an option in the download history to bulk-transfer any missing licenses from there.

As I just had to go through this ordeal myself (transfered the stuff to my brand new xbox slim 250 gb), I could relate my experiences:

There is a transfer tool on the xbox-live homepage. This tool transfers ALL the licences in bulk completely to your new box..

After having transfered all the licenses, you still need to "redownload" all your stuff on XBLA, even if you still have the data on your actuall harddisc. You can put all the things you want to download into the download-cue on the xbox-live homepage. THIS cue is limited to 30. Then, when you turn on your box, the downloads start automatically. When the first 30 have been "downloaded" again, rinse and repeat with another 30 until you're finished.

And don't worry, if you allready got the data on your disk, it only DL/updates the licenses on your box, so it won't download masses of gigabytes.

After having transfered the licenses and "downloaded" everything againg back on the box, you can use the DLC without having the gamertag active which dl'ed the content in the first place. The DLC is then "linked" to the console. e.g.: any signed-in gamertag can use the DLC.

On other consoles, you can still use the DLC, but only with the corresponding gamertag signed in ONLINE to xbox-live.

Edited because of a stupid mistake.

Has anybody got any idea why Muchi Muchi Pork has suddenly decided not to give me the option to upload my scores to the online tables? I'm playing Score Attack mode, the 360 is online and I've not changed any of the default settings besides turning visual smoothing off. it was working on Wednesday, then stopped last night and hasn't given me the option since.

It also appears to have wiped my offline scores, as the local tables have all reset.

Anybody here uses UVC on Nanao screen ( Egret 2 in my case ) and found the good settings not to have the game horribly blurry ?

All other ports where great with the UVC , and for exemple DDP DFK at 130% zoom was arcade perfect. Here , it's horrible compared to the PCB. Any ideas ?

I was pretty satisfied with the picture actually (same setup as you, 24kHz). I'll have a look later.

I would make sure smoothing is off and try different percent zooms. Somtimes you can find the right number to make the scaling closer to an even number. I have had some games look terrible with 145% but great at 150% because it doesnt have to average out some of the pixels. Just try to adjust the zoom to make it look sharp then use your monitor controls. Hope that makes sense

Yeah, start a game, then hit pause and adjust the percentages to where it looks the sharpest. I had 111% width I think. But I'm not sure if you use 15kHz or 24kHz. It will matter.

Thanks for yours answers.

I actually only play in 15K , but the problems is that i have to change both menu and ingame screen settings , cause it appears that menu settings changes the ingame settings. ( adding monitors controls , i have three ways to change the picture , but i can't get something good )

I was really satisfied with all other ports , but i can't find the good settings with this one , probably because after 10 trys i was bored to always switch from in game menu and main menu because we can't really have a " preview " of what you have.

I'm glad to ear that some of you manage to get something good , but is it really as good as the pcb like previous ports ?

I'm waiting for your 15k differents settings , so i can fit the screen properly with the monitor controll after !

Cheers !

Yeah i somehow agree... the screen setup for tate is hellish.
Through the generic menu setup (down) i could enlarge to somewhat a okeyish level (still in wide)... then when i go in game the stupid thing just fogets my enlargement and i cannot re-scale like i could for the global menu. Maybe it works better in non-wide, but in wide i cannot find the good way to go. Bah, not really important, i play non-tate and windowed ant that s it, i just lose screen realestate (52in. TV still gives a good surface in default setting, but it is not as mind blowing as full screen shmupery).

Got this some days ago and had some time to spend some credits with it now: I fell in love with Muchi Muchi Pork at first sight! Wow, what an awesome game (so far, Futari is my favourite Shmup of them all)!

I don't understand why Cave came up with that awkward menu system and messed up leaderboards but I do already know this package has a special place in my gamer-heart.

Unfortunately, Pink Sweets isn't half as good as MMP.

Question: Does anyone have any pictures of the hitzones in MMP?

Here are my settings (should work for 15kHz as well):
SYSTEM SCREEN SETTING (press down as soon as that outdoorsy menu loads)
ADJUST: 0 | 0 (or whatever you need for it to sit right)
ZOOM: 50 | 84
ROTATION: 90
WIDE MODE: OFF

GAME (adjust for each game mode) VIDEO SETTING
ADJUST: 0 | 0
ZOOM: 111 | 188
SMOOTHING: OFF

Note:
These settings I've used has been chosen as I've set up all my TATE games to look good without adjustment on the monitor controls in the cabinet. Now I can just change game and don't touch the screen's controls at all. The basis for this was getting Ketsui to display well (93% overscan). The only game in my library that's not "compatible" with this method is Raiden IV.

Am really enjoying both titles in the pack, particularly Pink Sweets. It's got an old school vibe to it which makes for a nice change of pace off the back of DFK/BL and Crimzon Clover. Is it just me or does it have a bit of a Psykyo flavour to it? I like the direction they went with this after Ibara. All the art is really cool and although I havn't sussed the scoring too well yet I'm having a blast with this. Who would have thought I would get stuck into dessert first before the Pork?

Ha-ha, charade you are!

I'm addicted to these games... though progress has slowed some what. I agree that after the uber DFK Black Label it's good to have something lighter.

Yes, in the sense that rubber duckies and toy airplanes are trying to kill you
I just figured out that there are two weapon types for each ship depending on which button you press when you select your character. I've decided to cheat and adjust starting lives and add score extends, just so I can learn more of the game with each run.

Sweets is becoming one of my favorite 360 shmups in a weeks time!

Damn...a few pages back there is some downright embarassing behavior going on.
The venom and vitriol are palpable.....

What kind of person gets that angry and recalcitrant over a fucking game? The back and forth walls of text are just a waste of energy. Jesus, this is our HOBBY - we do this for fun. Some people always gotta act like fools.

Cave said after Galuda 2 that it wa stheir last region free game, WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE to get MMP and PS on one wonderfully compatible disc.

All this complaining, fighting, and ape-like posturing is lame.

I remember last year, thinking I'd NEVER get to play Galuda2, or Mushi Futari...let alone even MORE niche titles like MMP\PS.

I thank Cave, for this is awesome. PLUS, this regionfree\region locked cycle is making me think that we MAY see a localized DDPDFK release....

Grrr...Just had to input...

On an unrelated note, is it just me or is the second boss of MMP really kind of alarmingly difficult...I'm far from amazing but I know my way around a shooter and have several 1ccs, yet that thing really gives me a lot of trouble.
Yeah, he's pretty tough for a second boss. I can navigate any of his patterns fairly easily, but the battle is just so long and there's so many of them that I end up dying at least once.
I had trouble with this boss too. The weird thing is that since I got brave and started milking the bosses, he's not as tough as I had originally thought.

Different strokes...etc...

I think I went into Pink Sweets with the wrong expectations after playing so much Ibara.

I finally had my "Ah Ha!" moment tonight and figured out how what not to do in boss fights. Figured out the cues to the insta-deth laser beams (not having volume all the way down helps), which bullets can be absorbed, which need to be shot, which just need to be bombed through. It's actually a pretty cleaver implementation, with three different features mapped to the same button; reminds me a bit of Mars Matrix that way. I'm enjoying it a lot more now.

Ok, this is getting very frustrating. The last three times that I've beaten my high score on Muchi Muchi Pork (in 1P Start, not Score Attack), it didn't save my score locally. At the end it shows my score as 0. Right before I died, I had over 51 mil showing in the top left, and never continued. I simply let the continue countown get to 0 like normal, but it wiped my score for some reason.

In between the last few high score runs, I had a few not so great runs, and it saved those scores. But the last 3 times I've beaten my high score...nothing.

Anyone know what's going on?

Edit: Well, it saved my next run, which is good, because I nearly doubled my previous score. 94 mil. I'm cheating, though...I set the extends to every 5mil rather than 10 while I'm learning the game (I know, I suck if I can't even beat it that way, although I managed to get to the final boss's 3rd or 4th pattern that time).
