Right - I haven't seen the dialogue for the US version so I don't know if it's the same as here, but the language used is very Americanised. Terms like 'mom' (intstead of 'mum') and words like 'omigosh' etc. There's just something very american about the sentense structure, tone etc.BPzeBanshee wrote: And same as previous question, how is the dialog?

the RSG trailer probably uses the Arcade 360 mode, which had some messed up slowdown even in the JPN version

I've just rigged two 360s up to the same TV, and played each level of the PAL and JPN Xbox 360 versions back to back.
I'm now pretty confident that in 360 mode the slowdown is very similar indeed. It's still hard to be sure (especially when you're also trying to play well!) but I'm fairly sure.
My de-bug PAL version has a strange bug from the build up to the final boss (with the dancing couples) that makes it hellishly hard to see what's going on. I'm sure it won't be there in the final retail version (this is quite typical of preview code and does not reflect on the final product), but it does make comparison of slowdown hard!

Have you had a chance to compare any of the other modes yet? Can you play MBL 1.1 and check out the slowdown? There is little/no slowdown what-so-ever in this mode in the NA version. Not in a back-to-back way. Sadly this came the same weekend I have 5,000 words of writing to do! While I've played the modes as much as possible for review purposes (drawing on the hours I put into the JPN versions was such a help, in that I already know the game's nuances and scoring), playing in parallel with all the other modes is rather time consuming (when the slowdown investigations don't really effect the review I'm doing; a piece for a UK national paper so focused on mainstream consumers almost all gaming jargon is outlawed. Pre-ordered myself a copy anyway. I much prefer games on physical media vs. downloads, and it's good to see things like this given a PAL region release at all.

I just learned that Deathsmiles posters went out to lots of UK game stores for store owner to put up to advertised the game... so you might want to pop your head in your local store and flutter your eyelids.

On Amazon Germany there's a cover of Deathsmiles showing both the german USK and the european PEGI logo. Does anyone know what's the quantity of the first edition ? I have a hard time believing that Rising Star would actually print different covers for different regions, which makes me suspect that there'll only be a edition with both rating logos. Could that be right ?

Not necessarily. PEGI has per se no meaning in Germany so in order to legally release the game there, they have to have (and show) a USK-rating. I doubt that there will be a USK-logo on every copy outside of germany. Also a PEGI-rating on a german game makes more sense than a german rating on a french or british game. I guess they'll just add the usk-rating by overprinting the already existing european covers.

Actually I think I found one shop that sells it but it's more expensive than I saw in this thread.
I'll just hope no one gives a rat's ass about loli shooters over here so the price will hopefully go down a bit.

I was wondering about that sentence too... it hasn't been the case for any other Cave port, or any STG I'm aware of on the 360, so it's likely an oversight. Having Europe-only leaderboards will make watching high-level replays pretty tricky for you guys though
