Man, and to think I was miffed when I had to wait a couple days extra. I'll also say that this has gotta be some bad publicity overall for Play Asia.
You're right! Damn them! For $4 they should have couriered each copy over individually, delivered to your door in person by an asian swimsuit model, with a handwritten letter of gratitude and something extra for the weekend.

You people are definitely getting more and more crazy and extremist. Time to go to Caveaholics Anonymous. With shipping you get exactly what you pay for, sometimes less, and it's not the fault of the company sending the goods when you ask them for "cheapass uninsured untrackable unguaranteed shipping please!".

I have to admit, I'm getting pretty antsy to get mine. Heh, I even asked my GF to call me at work if it arrived (it hasn't.....yet).

But I'm not worried. I always go for the cheap shipping. Sometimes I get my order right on day 7, sometimes I get it on day 14. Since I only paid a lousy $3 for shipping, I really can't complain either way...

But it sure would be nice if it came today! :D

My copy arrived today, safe and sound (no time to play yet). I'm no longer elligible for "last copy to arrive". Good luck, guys! :P

This was the longest anything took to arrive at my door from Play-Asia, even with the same shipping option. Not a big big deal, though. Next time I'll splurge for EMS on a pre-order :)

Next time you guys should just order from Yesasia.com. They priced Mushi at $50, which is $10 less than Play-Asia (P-A priced Mushi $5-$10 higher than everyone else). With Yesasia's priority mail shipping option ($6) you'll get it worldwide in 2-5 business days, AND it's cheaper than P-A w/ their $5 discount coupon & standard airmail shipping! Or you could pay $9 for Express air shipping from Yesasia, and get mushi in 2-3 days for only $59 total, the same price as P-A w/ standard airmail in a box and the $5 off coupon.

Just a suggestion for future reference.

OK, I paid FIFTEEN DOLLARS extra for shipping, not $4. But based on Ganson's poor experience, it looks like i did get my money's worth.

Ganson however, if you paid $4...you're fired.

TWE: I think you have to get EMS shipping to get it from HK to Hawaii on time. You seems to know the standard 2-4 week nightmare it takes for stuff to arrive. Crazy.

I did pay like $4, but I wasn't really complaining about how long it has taken. So please don't fire me. :(

I was just starting to get concerned because it has never taken this long. But I see Mannerbot and others are also waiting longer than usual, so this sets my mind at ease. I am thinking, though, that NCSX or Yesasia are worth trying in the future.

If it makes you feel any better, I am also waiting. Honestly, some things just take a while in the post--especially international; it certainly isn't a hard science by any means. Play Asia shipments typically arrive very fast for me (w/ the cheapest shipping), but this doesn't seem to be the case for this one. I don't think anyone should be worrying about their package being lost in the mail yet. Anything international should be given a month just to be sure--I've seen this happen repeatedly, packages getting held up in customs, etc. Fortunately, I have so many other things to keep me busy, the absense of mushi isn't driving me crazy or anything.

Haha Just teasin' Ganson. ;) I assume you have ordered from PA before and it's been better?

Anyhoo, no intl orders for me on high profile shooters, no sir.

Yeah, before this my transactions with PA have been great, really. I've mostly used cheap airmail and the packages have always come between 5 and 10 days, and the one time I used EMS my DDP DOJ came in like 3 days. (That was expensive, but, heck, it was my birthday.) So I'm not really down on PA, though I am interested in giving NCSX a try since it is here in the States.

Yesasia is also in the states (San Francisco), they have a US site at us.yesasia.com (they also have an international site for worldwide orders). They ship within the USA from their US office. Try them out, you'll never go back to PA, and they're cheaper than NCSX.

Heh, I've been keeping myself occupied in the meantime. Managed to 1-credit DDP and DDP DOJ (1st loops only, of course) by way of getting my Cave reflexes back in check. Now I'm just anxiously waiting for it to arrive...

CVM-

I think the 3rd level in Mushi is very similar to the first half of Chapter 4 (sections 4-1 & 4-2) in Ikaruga in its overall layout and the way of chaining it properly. So I think you'll have a bit of fun with that!

I've seen MrMonkeyMan's Arrange Mode video for that stage. I'm not quite sure what you mean about it being similar. Well, besides both levels being an example of the classic "Stage 3 Battleship".

I think the enemy patterns in the first part of Mushi L3 are vaguely similar to 4-1 in Ikaruga, and the whole shifting around the insect thing is much like 4-2, and how you have to chain during this sequence. Checkout the vid on this site:

http://sinmoon.sakura.ne.jp/movie.html

Third vid from the top in the first section. I don't know, I didn't get this impression at first, but the more I play it (and see the pros play it) the more it reminds me of Ika C4. But maybe it's just me.

Anyone else notice how long it takes to load your stage in practice mode? I timed it last night and it took at least 33 SECONDS!! That's really ridiculous. And if you lose all your lives you have to wait another THIRTY THREE SECONDS for it to load up again. I've never played a shmup with such long load times in practice mode. The good thing is you can restart as many times as you like within a level, you just have to make sure to do it BEFORE you lose your last life, otherwise you'll have to wait another 33 secs.

Well, I guess I see it if I'm specifically looking for it. It didn't scream Ikaruga to me, that's all.

Btw, are there some sound issues with the game? I've seen several replays where the player dies and you hear Reko scream long after she's respawned (like, easily over 1 second). I'm guessing it only happens in very busy sections with a lot of slowdown?

That Reko scream delay has happened a couple times to me,
but it's not very common. Maybe moreso in the latter stages
with more firepower on the screen. It might have to do with
how many explosion sounds are occuring at the time Reko dies?

Overall the game runs very smooth and very nice, I haven't noticed any glitches yet.

I only have the iso of this game but doesn't anyone else have the music glitch where when you pause then unpause the game the bgm restarts from the beginning instead of where it was?

I don't know, maybe you should buy it like the rest of us and find out.

Sigh.

Take it easy bloodflowers, I'm sure Shearie's waiting for it in the mail like so many others of us. I was tempted to get an iso of it this weekend, but decided against it since I think I can wait until Wednesday to get my LE.

Not sure if this is common knowledge, but while waiting during those long practice mode loading times, I was rapidly pressing all the buttons and moving the d-pad side to side and to my surprise Reko started to run faster and move forward slightly. Faster running did not equal faster load times though. :(

Yes, I'm in the same boat.

I've been joking with my brother than I'm the last Mushihimesama pre-order in the world to actually arrive, but apparently that isn't the case :)
Whewwww, I thought I was going to be the last US preorder to get this game. From browsing the last 2 pages here, looks like prof ganson, mannerbot, madsteel, and myself are still doing the pee pee dance for our copies to come in the mail, so you boys from England shouldn't feel left out. We may all get to play this game on the same day, huh???

Actually, I don't plan on buying it anytime soon since I'm broke and I'm completely fine with someone thinking I'm scum for downloading the iso.

Cool trick, I tried this during some loading screens and got her halfway across the screen once! I'll have to try it during the practice loading screens, when there's more time to smash the buttons.

Also, is anyone else using the 2P side (just plug your controller into the 2P port and press start, if you only have one controller)? If you do, you have a slightly different Insect princess to use. Her colors are slightly different. Also, when you get a score, on the ranking pages she has a different portrait--white hair and dark tan skin, looking towards your right (1P character looks to your left in her portrait). This portrait is NOT a mirror-image inversion of the 1P portrait, but rather a newly drawn portrait. Pretty cool.
