Which SFIV TE stick? If you're using the TE 'S' (a.k.a. the Super Street Fighter IV version) it won't work with the stock XBCD driver install (FYI, get XBCD 0.2.7), but that is a simple fix. I'm using one except I swapped the stick out for a LS-40-01.

If I recall correctly XBCD overwrites the offficial drivers or does something. I didn't even have the official drivers installed with one XBCD installation (whereas before I had official drivers and installed XBCD on top of it), and it still worked.
If the drivers conflict in any way you can easily uninstall both official and XBCD drivers, then just run the official CD.

Sorry if this was asked before, but is there any HiScore.dat which supports espgaluda, doj and ketsui?
havent found anything and i want the scores to be saved.

Your problem is the ArcadeVGA, which has limited modeline support. It only provides around 20 different modelines based on how often they are used in MAME, so some of the "rarer" modelines are just left out (almost anything from Irem has awful tearing on an ArcadeVGA).

Try Soft15KHz and switchres instead:

That will give you the exact modeline you need at runtime.

It's not MAME that's your problem, but the stuff between it and your monitor.

I still do not comprehend why these new versions which are based on 0.99 run like ass while the sluggish 2.2 0.137 based ones run the games at 100% speed.

By the way, there's another new feature in 3.0b that i didn't mention since i think 99% of the people wont really use it. But here it is anyway

I added a "Smaller" option to the Clean stretch options, what it does is reduces the maximum area of the screen used before the clean stretch is done, this allows to have the game clean stretched to a smaller multiple (some games look better that way).


As for 99 running slower, pebkac as i said.

I dont exactly know what I am doing wrong then, because the original WOLFMAME 0.99 runs fine but shmupmame 0.99 seems to run awful.

My HRAP EX-SE isn't detected by this, it was detected in 2.2 (which was based on a newer version of MAME).

I don't want to try installing the XBCD drivers over the official ones because I'm afraid that might cause conflicts.

Configuring this is a real bitch. Why didn't you set it to use Direct3D instead of DirectDraw?

I've much enjoyed your work until this release. Could someone help me with the controller issue?

3.0b : ketsui : after stage score counting :
player and enemies disappear from screen for like 2 seconds.
quite a problem on earlier stage 3 where theres a lot of enemies onscreen.
It is to us a sufficient body in which, fairies and it is packed and can group of play.

Using Shmupmame 3.0 to play Battle Garegga... Eliminated Lag, which is great, but I there is a lot of screen tearing. Is anyone else having this problem? Or, perhaps I am using the wrong settings. Can something be done in setup to combat against screen tearing?

refresh rates. Batte Garegga pcb is 60hz. I suppose 'match game refresh rate' should do the job. And make sure that your monitor is set to 60hz.

Not hard to fix, nimitz just has to update the end of sprite marker code.

Great work, unfortunately 3.0b won't work on my win7 x64 machine. It loads the rom, goes fullscreen, goes windowed mode for a brief moment, closes the window and I'm back at the main menu. I remember someone having the same issue with 3.0, did he solved this and if so, how?

3.0 on the other hand works fine for me, it even recognizes my 360-pad. I guess I'll stick to that for the moment.

I put the options to windowed in the ui (which worked fine), then turned off "start maximised" and put fullscreen mode back on.

It might have been a fluke but you can try.

Yeah, settings are the same, just compared 'em. Unchecking "start maximised" did't do the trick either.

It also couldn't find the romsets, even though they were in the roms-folder. Had to set up up a custom roms-folder for that to work. After that I was able to start Galuda once, but for some reason it was back label. Can't reproduce it though, so I have no clue what might've caused this.

How can I save Hiscores? If I turn off and on, the Hiscores disappears :(

joeboto : Thanks for reporting those issues, I just fixed them (backport) and it will be added to the next version

sirmax : a few things could have caused that, for the best results unpack the build to a brand new folder and then add it to your DEP exception list.

-The 0xc000005 error can be fixed by adding the program to the DEP exception list:
