After watching that video I'm becoming inclined to agree with you. Canceled bullets exploding and becoming gems is one thing, but canceled bullets just turning white and continuing on their trajectory? It seems weird. Add in the bullets that are white with a blue outline and it's the base for some major confusion. I think the scoring system is good and reasonably original (which is not a trivial feat at this point). You need to take risks by staying in the bullets' path while destroying their source in a timely manner and making sure there are always some bullet souls on screen to keep the 6x multiplier going. It's going to click faster than you think, and I believe there will be enough challenge for an aggressive score-attack. Also, sweet graphics and decent sound work are never a bad thing. I consider buying this sometime after the release!

Who cares bonus: Bonus you get for not buying the game since every enemy you kill cancels it's own bullets, thus you never have to dodge anything the entire game except for maybe bosses and larger enemies.
(The first person to note XOP Black's cancel mode is exactly this doesn't get a cookie, as it's not the main and I'm guessing only mode in the game)

Lovin' how this looks! Great design and all sorts of colour full. I like how the weapons looks for the girls ship, wavey spread shot with a homing laser, with a focus. Looks to be all sorts of overpowered! I'll be happy to play something a little easier for a change, and chew my way through it! I hope I get to play this soon enough.

It doesn't seem to me that the cancelled bullets will be confusing at all, as their color is very muted making them look like puffs of translucent smoke. Hype chain is building for this one. Bring on the color explosion.

Apparently this game doesn't have Tate. Their reason is that they view this game as a consumer's product and not as an arcade game player's product. Stupid reason, but, yeah. Disappointing if true.

If a design team goes through the effort to design a vertical shmup without the option to rotate the screen. I don't really understand why they bothered at all. Vertizontal would have been the ideal choice if they wanted to keep some of the clutter off screen. Least they are up front about it. Its certainly gone from a preorder to a wait & see if its worth it now.

I can't believe these guys. It's like as if they really believe it is impossible for the consumer to rotate a crt or lcd, or that there aren't enough diehard shmup fans to appeal to to warrant saving costs of not programming something trivial. Hope its not true but I'm much likely to purchase this if so.

Apparently there will be a demo in March for the Japanese 360 store. The first print will come with a soundtrack.
