1) Probably not.
2) What does this have to do with Muchi Muchi Pork and Pink Sweets?

Autofire in Pink Sweets can be used to rapidly increase rank, making infinite lives trick somewhat easier.

Thats me! I had no intention of playing this game since I didn't know it was region free. So excited that it is. I had thought they were done with that.

Also, very glad the LE is also region free. That always bothered me about Espgaluda 2

But we don't know if Cave will "fix" the infinite lives glitch yet...

It should stay as long as its not a game breaking glitch. Keep it as close to the arcade as possible is what I like.
Espgaluda III needs to happen.

There may be some sort of change actually according to this post from EOJ, though the details aren't clear still... it'd make sense to have both versions available, though, since some of the PCBs did have the infinite lives glitch/feature fixed too.

Why not just have an option that specifically addresses that glitch? I.E. On/Off

...actually, that seems kind of hard and pointless almost.

If memory serves, didn't the "Arcade" mode of the 360 port of Galuda 2 still allow the "tutorial glitch", while "360" mode fixed it? In any event, some manner of fix would indeed be nice...

I need to get a copy of Galuda 2 for 360 still, that one is region free as well right? Just not the limited edition.

I think I got the last copy from NCSX, but I saw plenty still for sale on ebay (can't remember about playasia right off). Do get it if you can, though. Excellent -- and very difficult -- game!

Thanks, I'll wait for re-stock at NCSX and grab the regular edition. I've never bought from NCSX before, are they good on customer support etc?

They're definitely trustworthy - most of the time things go smoothly, and when they haven't they've never failed to communicate exactly what's going on. I've also never had to wait more than an hour or so for them to respond to emails (during their business hours).

Oh nice, a couple days ago the status for Espgaluda was 'Out of stock - unavailable.' But it looks like it's back to 'restock in 4-7 days now.' Go for it!

Since this is the Pink Sweets/Muchi Muchi Pork thread...I'm about to place my preorder! Will there be any additional arrange modes on the disc? I've read something about playing one of the games (can't remember which) with the other game's bosses switched in. Any other modes confirmed?

Here's hoping/praying they include a software-side autofire option for all buttons. I don't even know how I could go about hacking one into my Hori EX stick.

I want to play the game as it originally appeared in arcades, and I want to try for the infinite lives trick. I have a creeping fear they may be a little light on the options as this is a dual release, and they may do us a "favor" like with the US Deathsmiles and end up "fixing" something that was originally intended as part of the game.

Please Cave, don't fuck this up!

i remember i let my friend lewis play pink sweets.
he said it was the worst game ever  it makes your face go lieke this :x

muchi pork tho is real fun and i think with the secondary shot slowing you down a bit will appeal to non yagwa fans.
the auto suck in of medals also gets rid of another thing anti raizing people moan about too!you don't even have to suicide either.personally i found hoarding lives the best technique for survival as the rank is also tamed down a lot from past yagwa efforts.
the only thing is the sound effects but personally i found pink sweets a lot more annoying.
the enemy graphics are cool as well all dinky squished up military shit.
just thinking about some of the bosses makes me want to play it again.
the sign of a good game!

God, yes you do. Rank in MMP is such a ball breaker. Take some advice chaps, don't learn to score when you first get the game, just play for a while in blissful ignorance and you'll probably comfortably breeze through to the fourth stage.

Once you learn to pump up the piggy points the rank will beat you like a whore who failed to bring home the bread. You'll be lucky to see stage 3 after that.

Suiciding after the first death is fine, but since no missing is a looping condition, you shouldn't suicide before it.

Rank in MMP is weird. You don't have to be as hardcore as in Garegga, and it's definitely true that there's a sweet spot in the difficulty curve early on as you're still learning. Lazily bopping along, missing medals and dying here and there will likely be enough to get reasonably deep in your early going. Try to score well though, and it brings the pain.

As was said, stage 4 is a likely block for many players. I got pretty stuck on that boss for a while. It's not terribly hard to play the rank game though, and cheat the system to get a sloppy 1CC. It took me about a week and a half to do the first loop, but after that I started to hit the wall when I worked on scoring.

I'd say, in that context, it's one of Yagawa's most successful demonstrations of this rank concept he's been trying to sell us for so long. It's really quite open to various play styles, but will still humble you the harder you push to master it.

I'm glad this thread got bumped recently. I was starting to think this release didn't have much hype. Does anybody that's played both of these games actually prefer Pink Sweets over Muchi Muchi Pork?
So, are we expected to turn our TV on its side?!

Eh, I think Pink Sweets is the better game, although it definitely has some flaws. I just find it to be really original and it can be a lot of fun once you figure out how the game's system works, not sure why but I just really clicked with it. MMP is decent but it never really grabbed me.

Actually, the more I wait for this game, the more I get hyped for this game.

February is going to be so good of a month. Deathsmiles PAL and MMP/PS region free... *glee*

hmm i didn't score particulary well on my clear so mebbes thats why i found it easier to hoard lives. i also used the secondary shot to damage bosses a lot rather than milk points.also i suppose in a way i did suicide my hoarded lives on the bosses but only after using all the bombs and stuff and being unable to dodge patterns  still it's not hard to break a 100 million and clear the game comfortably so i think it will sit well with more casual players.the 4th boss is a git tho.
