I got that for my girlfriend at Christmas. Kind of pissed I didn't get one for myself too. :(
Hey, that's not much of problem; you can always snatch it off from her! Besides, I doubt she really understood what was portrayed on it... ;)

Sony PVM-20N2U RGB monitor:

Since my NEC XM29+ died, I picked this up on the cheap on the way back fro my small vacation. Very crisp picture, better than the XM29 had even. Smaller screen size, but I can live with that for now.

HP 2009m LCD monitor:

Picked this up for a decent price. The aspect ratio is a tad odd, but for what I do it's not an issue. Very nice little LCD.

Micomsoft Xselect D4:

This is a wonderful piece of gear, it's a selector box that can take component signals (and RGBs) and output them in RGB/VGA format very nicely. Once I build or purchase an H/V sync combiner I'll be set.

Rockman & Forte english repro cart:

I had this made up by electrochip, he did a fantastic job. The whole game is in english, the roms were burned from the best translation patch available.
Do you have any links of the place that made that Rockman & Forte cart for you and how much did it cost?

I just installed a 72cc bore kit tonight so hopefully I can get some better hill climbing ability. It was a pretty intimidating job since I've never seen the inside of an engine before, but I guess scooter engines are simple enough that I could learn as I went along. I still need to jet the carburetor and change the oil though. None of the shops in my area are willing to work on these Chinese scooters, so I have to do all the maintenance myself.

I heard that these Chinese GY6 engines don't take well to bore kits, but this thing was so damn cheap, I'll just buy a better scooter if/when this breaks down.
That's one hell of a wimpy looking bike!

Oh that lol. Well I didnt have a component set around to test with except a 720p which scaled it poorly. When I get around to it I'll do the same comparison shot with my newer gear.

Since there's no "cool stuff you've just MADE" thread, I'm posting this here. I'm not the first person to do this, I got the idea from the interwebs like every other electronics project I've done lately. Maybe one day I'll come up with something original... Anyway, it's an MP3 player inside a NES controller. The player is a 4GB model from COBY. The player itself was only $20, but I killed one in the process, so I ended up spending about $40 total for this mod. Unfortunately it runs off one AAA battery so it's a bit inconvenient to change batteries out at the moment but I plan on adding a battery door from a TV remote.

The up/down buttons are for volume. Left/right are for track skip. A button is for play/pause/select and you hold it for power on/off. B button backs out to the main menu. Start and Select have no function.

The insides don't look so attractive since I used liberal amounts of hot glue to hold everything in place. But when it's closed up it's very solid and works great.

Awesome swap meet haul:
4 Neo Geo Pocket Color games: Metal Slug 1st Mission, Card Fighter's Clash, Match of the Millenium, and Puzzle Bobble. Then I also found, in great condition, Hard Drivin' and Super Monaco GP. In box and with manuals I got Sonic 2 and 3. All of these were in the $3-$4 range.

Thanks. I did a PC in an NES case mod that turned out pretty well. Also a new control panel for my Candy with light up buttons and light up ball top. Next up is my second attempt at a portable NES. I tried one out a couple of years ago, but it was the first electronics project I ever attempted and was too advanced at the time. I still have all the parts and now that I know a lot more I'm gonna give it another shot.
