All you need is some cash to prepay it, a valid foreign or international DL, some ID, and the car documents. Sure, it's a bit more expensive, but jeez, if people can afford to pimp out their cars the way they do, it can't be that hard to get at least the minimum required by law.

The car club is totally on my side. They realized he's a fucking idiot.
I might not get any money from him, but I did file an "Accident Report". Not much good however, the police told me I should have called the law when it happened. (Thats what they're there for)
Everything is fucked up. My one main witness is on probation for DWI...even though I gave him a ride home, his probation officer can still fuck him for drinking...which he was.
The other witness (the fighter) is an ex con, but he is totally cool with me. He is now officially a witness.
I couldn't include the other guy cause, he could get in trouble.
I went with a police escort to dickheads house...
I just wanted to let the cop see the damage of his truck...
Nobody was supposed to be there(at work whatever).
The guys WHOLE family was there looking at his fucked up truck.

The cop was asking his typical questions and my hands started shaking...He was now talking and interviewing this other guy, so I walked back to my friends car...to chill.
A few moments later (all this dudes family are looking at me like they want to kill) They arrest the guy!
I told the cop that we were working things out, and that I wasen't pressing charges...
Turns out dickhead has multiple warrents for his arrest.
I basically fucked him even though I was trying to save his ass from a 4TH DWI!!!(which is why I didn't involve the cops last night) At least 10 years prison....(yea, he fucked up, but I can't send some dude to prison for ten years just for some twisted metal.
I fucking swear to you...(the police officer followed me home, so I could provide my important info...insurance etc.
The cop looked at my car and the little damage and said..."You guys were racing, weren't you?!
Dickhead told the cop that we were racing and that I CUT HIM OFF!

Twitch, he's got no witnesses about the racing thing. And your version of the facts can still prove him wrong. Racing. Right. With two passengers on board and one of them on the back seat? That, and your friend's testimony should fudge him up. He's got 4 DWI's, you got none. Who do you think they're going to believe? Why aren't any skid marks of your car's tracks? If you cut him off, while racing, the damage would have been more. Why didn't your car fly several meters ahead?
The damage made to your car should show that he slammed against it while you were static, not as if you had been ahead of him, racing.
Present your reasons. There is just no way in hell he can come up with a way to counter them, and they should be able to see through his lies. Don't give up, man.

My car attracts serious attention as it is, and with club racing stickers across the front windshield the cops could hassle me more. (which they haven't so far)
Makes no difference now though, as my car is now "marked". Its the only 68 Chevelle in town, and there are only a couple others from different years.
My car is one of a kind here...and the cops think I may have been involved with street racing/accident/reckless driving. They will be watching me closely for now on.
Update: I did get it running last night. The starter and flywheel didn't grind or scrape when I started it. In fact, with just a little twitch of the foot, the car came to life again, vibrating the house in the process as it does.
The gears seemed to work ok(transmission) but it was dark and with only one taillight I didn't pull out of the driveway to "test drive".
Zer0eight is coming over tomorrow to take pictures of the damage...although there could be more things that aren't easily seen. I need to start hammering out the stress dents in the quarter panel before the sheetmetal gets used to being dented in.
Also, some interior parts came loose from impact and I had to tighten the rear wheel lugnuts as they were slightly loose. Maybe from impact?
Glove Box no longer closes and the trunk won't lock or close anymore either.
A price quote from a friend who owns a paint and body shop is $1250.00(because he's cool with me). Thats for repair of body damage, and full respray. (paint entire car, even different color if I like)
I basically just only need the qaurter panel area. (passenger side rear)
I've priced some parts:
Two new tailights with lenses/bezels........ $150.00 pr.
Chrome plated rear bumber (reproduction)...$375.00
Replace chrome engine parts............at least $100.00
I don't know how much to fix and paint the damaged area only. I hate that though, as the new paint will not match perfectly. I haven't done body work in years, so I may leave it up to a professional.

Word of mouth rumor, is that Boogie is planning on getting another S-10 to slap tires/ rims on, as well as his racing engine (small block 350) and transmission. I'm surpised the engine wasen't damaged...maybe it was?

Your repair bill could be a hell of a lot worse, seen skylines with little damage to the front and sides costing £4000 UK pounds to sort out and they're basically common compared to classics.

Well, this may be Texas, but I'm not the "Rootin Tootin" type if you know what I mean. Guns always make matters worse. In fact, I don't own a gun. I never felt the need to. I don't even like fistfights. I'll only fight if there is no other option...that being the case, I can and will fight till the other person is laying face down and motionless. (I'm not a total badass though either. I only weight about 160 to 165 LBS)
Another reason why I hate fights is because, if you lose you can get really hurt. If you win, you will now have to watch your back constantly because all 100 of the guys family will now be "after you". Along with the possibility of 3 to 10 against 1! Those aren't very good odds.

I'm here, I feel alot better now because my grandmother is at least HOME!
She still needs a little surgery on her leg, but everything should go well regarding that. (granny's been my "mother" all my life)
I'm still going to try and get as much as I can from MR.S-10. He owes me!
I can have him write a check out to me and give it to the president of the club, the pres can then give the check to me. I refuse to deal directly with him, as I don't trust him at all. I would sooner lick a dogs balls than trust this guy!
I'll cash it and wait about the typical two weeks(to make sure it clears).
I doubt "prickbait" will have any money left though...with his muliple warrants and all, who knows? Shit, he might still be in jail now?
I still haven't gotten any legal advice yet...
My lawer will call me tomorrow, hopefully.
Still, what worries me is that I didn't call the police right after it happend. I waited till the next day(still within 24 hours) and a proper report was not performed...just a simple accident report.
If I sue this guy for damages, he can turn around and counter sue me.
His truck is totalled, remember? If he were to somehow win the case, I could owe him THOUSANDS of $$$$

Its really sad though, I've owned my car since 1997, and it has been a long project. (the car wasen't really drivable when I bought it)
I've only been driving it now for 3 months, which is how long its been insured and running strong, not to mention looking good!

Personally, to be honest...I feel like beating the shit outa myself for not calling the police right after the accident happend.
Like I said, at the time I was in a slight state of shock, and the person who hit me was in the club that I associate with. So, I felt "out-numbered" so to speak. I also felt that if the guy got arrested, his fines would be so much, that he would never be able to pay for MY damages. I really don't care about him or his truck. I was considering what was best for me! (for a change)
Now things are going to be tougher, but I still filed an accident report within 24 hours from the time of the incident. Nobody even really had a phone anyway, and either the neighbors were'nt at home, or they simply didn't bother to offer aid. (remember there was fighting and yelling!?)
I cannot pick up my copy of the report (from the police station) until 6 working days...so much for quick action.
The longer I wait, the worse things can get.
My lawyer told me that if I have to, I can press charges on the guy and say that he was obviously intoxicated at the time. My witnesess will have to testify to that as well, otherwise its my word against his. Still, I'm concerned that "dickhead" can turn around and "counter sue" me. If he has a chance, I may be responsible for HIS damages!!!
In any case, I have started the "healing process" on my own...

Today was the first day I had a chance to actually drive my Chevelle around.
It has more rattles and shakes, but it drives as straight as it used to. So, the frame should be ok. However, from the impact, the right side rear wheel(passenger side) is bent. So I need to tack on a new wheel to the already growing list of damages. My rearend axle could also be damaged, because if it was hit hard enough to bend the wheel?
The right side door is pushed back slightly as well, it can be fixed though.
Ole Chevelle wanted to stall out in traffic at least three times...I guess its telling me it dosen't feel very well.
Also, there was a noticable shaking of the shifter...which means the transmission may be loose. Man, I hope its just "loose" and not damaged!!!
Hopefully, all that extra rattling and shaking is from the now bent/warped rear wheel.
In any case, its not the same. Just driving it, I feel like I'm beating a dead horse.
If I cannot win my case in court, I may give up on it, as the damages are just too much for me to handle right now...

The engine pic was from a year ago,and since that pic,I detailed it to where it was all shiny with chrome and shine. Now its all washed away from battery acid.
I may post the damage pictures if I feel like beating my head against a brick wall.
Keep in mind I was deeply considering selling off my video game collection just to make it faster, and "better"...
