Got the game today - plays real simple like a good old 8bit-shooter.
Reached level 3 - graphics so far are .... cute, colourful .
Your standard shoot may be a little weak and I don´t like the fact
that extra-weapons last for a short time. Your enemies are cats,
birds, penguins, bees .... ( did anyone say stolen from parodius ).
First opinion after thirty minutes of gameplay - seems worth the
money ( 6,99 Euro in the PS3-Store).
For the moment, i reach the third level but the Jap robots blast me off. I find it pretty good, reminds the Pcengine good old feeling with a flash typed graphics.
They made an effort on the language : even Japanese is available in option.
Already got it, and it's... cute, and suckerpunches you alot. Very Konami-esque, with some labyrinth stages, though hitting the walls don't always seem to kill you. Enemies take alot of bullets to kill and movement speed is a bit slow.
Oh, and it's a Mini, so you can play it on the PS3 too, in case it hasn't been mentioned.
i got this cuz i hat exactly six bucks left over.. anyways, surprisingly slick and polished. and i agree with the PCE comment, it really has that feel (magical chase, star parodius). these guys deserve an award for making a good euroshmup lol
Just a heads up, the game is currenty out for iOS. The paid version is on sale for $4 ($6 full price) and there is also a free version available.
I played the free version and it definitely had me laughing in a good way. Touch controlls are spot on but sometimes the hamster fires when I am not pressing any buttons. Not a big deal though. Definitely worth a try and I'm probably going to end up buying it.
just bought this last night for my PSP, and was hard to find stupid idiots for putting it in the minis section and not adding it to the genres section. but anyways, I quite like this. one of the better shumps I've played in a long time.
