Did Cave not mention that Mushimesama Futari would be the next port to iPhone?

Anyway, screw iPhone - if they are going to make handheld they should do another DS/DSi game like Ketsui Death Label. I guess the main kicker is the screen orientation on the iPhone.

I will be very sad to see if this is the general direction for Cave ports now - would love to see them port the rest of their library to the 360.
ESPG II on iPhone is leaps and bounds more playable than Ketsui on DS (imo).
I've only tried the demo version of ESP2 on iPhone and while it does seem to control well - it does seem like a watered down version of the arcade game. Changing the controls to suit iPhone with touch to cancel bullets etc. At least with Ketsui DS the controls are the same as arcade.

Once again, it's all arguable. Some people may like the touch controls where others may prefer a physical button.

If you would have asked whether an ESPG II port would work on iPhone I would have said no for sure. From a mechanics perspective (in regard to controls) it's just more complicated than Ketsui. But my main reason for saying what I did is that 1) Ketsui is way watered down and 2) my hands are too big and hurt like hell when I play that on DS. :-)

Yeah I agree with all that.

My main point is that Ketsui DS is a different game from the arcade. They should make these portable games different than the arcade games and save the proper arcade ports for a console.

To be fair, there's two modes of ESP2 on iPhone. The first is standard ESP2 with three levels of difficulty, the highest being arcade, that uses the touch for move and has up to four buttons on the side for bomb, awakening, switching shot type and toggling autoshot. The second mode is an arrange mode where you touch bullets to cancel them. The primary mode on the highest difficulty is definitely not watered-down.

Everyone seems to be forgetting one important detail about this survey - it was about what people wanted to see on the iPhone, not other formats. In the XBLA survey they did earlier in the year, Pink Sweets ranked #5 (higher than MMP). There's still a very good chance of seeing it ported IMO.
