Can we have PCB feet on the next design please? The current model is hard to mount.
You're right about that. The only good mounting points are the ears on the female JAMMA passthrough, and even those require angle brackets.
The old version did have small rubber feet, primarily to protect the SMT components mounted on the underside. However, they don't help much if you want to mount them on a piece plastic/wood like what Monouchi has done.
I probably won't include PCB feet with the new version, but I'll make sure there are enough mounting holes available should anybody want to attach some. The new design will not be as ridged as the last, which had a big solid connector soldered along one side. I'm a bit worried about the amount the board will flex when SCART cables are often plugged in/pulled out -- probably won't be a problem if the feet are well secured to something solid.
Assuming
this is what a standard PCB foot looks like, would anybody be able to tell me the diameter of the plastic part which connects to the PCB? I also need to know what size thread the screw is. The PCB layout is just about finished already and is densely packed as it is, fitting in the extra mounting holes will be a challenge...
