At this point the cup will go to either Germany or Argentina. Holland will make it to the finals but I doubt they're strong enough to beat either of them.

I'm so glad Holland won as I'd been telling everyone at work they'd make the finals and lose to Germany. So my predictions are still on. Melo sucked shit for Juventus all year. Not that good and is a dirty player, he showed that today. Van Bommel though must have had some dirt on the ref because I don't know how in the hell he didn't get a yellow card about 5 times at the end of the game.

I was rooting for Uruguay, but I can't help feeling sorry for Ghana. Looking at previous world cups the third placing team is usually an underdog, so I guess Uruguay will claim the third place now.

2 saves, one illegal? Yeah, he sacrificed himself and saved his squad to play on and for that he has my respect. He was a productive member of the Uruguay team and it was nice to see them progress as far as they did. I don't believe they'll get past Holland, especially without Suarez and even with a wizard like Forlan, but it should still be an interesting game.

As mentioned, Ghana had their chances and Gyan missing in the penalities was the final straw. Had they still somehow managed to win would've been more of a shocker, after all that.

Tomorrow will be a real cracker, it's a shame Arg/Ger is on so early. Guess I'll need to brew some extra maté.

Germany totally overrun the Argentinians, not by individual class though, but by being a team and playing we systematised.
Argentina had no system at all...
