Not a rumor anymore. I'm gonna look for the revision you read, but the new one cites this:

http://www.sportingnews.com/soccer/arti ... e-finished

Sporting News found another amusing old version, shown here.

Robbie Findley will be missing The Battle of Algeria, but perhaps that will give somebody else a chance to do better than he has (Sporting News hopes so anyway).

This is also humorous / informative.

And a few words about how we feel in Michigan.

Damn you Orange. Another win but again with worthless play.
Substitutions should have been made earlier.
Van der Vaart must not be in the base 11.
antron wrote:we got robbed. offsides my ass.
Not robbed. USA should have been playing with 10 players after 20 seconds already!
That was a most obvious red card. The ref. failed by not giving that.

I agree the goal was a rightful one though. :|

Which one was that? I missed the first 20 seconds. word on the street is there Should've been a red card given out to Slovenia towards the end.
I agree the goal was a rightful one though. :|
I'm pretty sure everyone does. But, if you're going to fuck a team, it might as well be the Americans. We're the only one whose fans will not kill you.

Maaan, Cameroon played really well, but they couldn't land the goals they were shooting. Shame, because they could have kicked Denmark's ass and stayed in the Cup, Cameroon played far, far better than Denmark.

Agreed, Cameroon played with a lot of spirit and deserved better. They did have chances though.

Anelka's been sent home from the tournament for swearing at Domenech

I enjoyed the Denmark v Cameroon game last night, dodgy defending but lots of chances

I don't fancy England against Slovenia after the first two games, Capello could go down as having a worse record than Kevin Keegan if they don't get a fucking grip :x

Whoa! Way to go All Whites! The goal was offside, but still.

Seems like this World Cup all the major soccer powers are having quite some difficulty. Only Argentina has been looking fairly solid.

when I read there is seems that FIFA has never stated that they are considering discipline. It seems like conjecture:

just watched the beginning. you must be referring to that high elbow. it's impossible to say that it was malicious for sure, looks like negligence to me. can that be a red card? a quick look at the rules wiki states violence as a worthy offense.

Brazil vs Ivory Coast ends with Brazil winning 3-1.

That bit at the end with Kaka's red card [well, yellow, but 2 yellows == red] was bullshit though. Kaka touches the guy's chest, and he DROPS AND CLUTCHES HIS FUCKING FACE. What the hell?

[actually, that whole bit around the end was a massive WTF moment, 3 cards in about 2 minutes?!]

That referee was completely fucked up. Ivory Coast was playing a violent game all the time, and he sents off KAKA?!?! Kaka didn't make one single violent foul, and his second yellow card was completely uncalled for.

Not to mention Brazil 2nd goal, Luis Fabiano touched the ball with his hand TWICE, and the refeere went and asked him "Did you touch the ball with your hand?"

WTF? Which striker would say "Yes, I touched the ball with my hand indeed"...

If video evidence was allowed it would of cleaned up that little act. Fifa doesn't realize that players use the fact that video evidence isn't allowed AGAINST the referee.

To top if off, there is a screen half the size of the stadium actually in there where replays are shown. You would think in such scenarios they would be used. Had the Brazil v IC game being closer on the scores that sending off could of made a difference.

Just imagine if England play an absolutely awesome game next week, then through some referee blunder England get sent home. I don't know, its just a wicked game and Fifa quite often look the other way when it suits them.

The africans were really hitting our players hard out there. Toward the end I thought they'd all get into a massive fight.

Anyway, Brazil is playing much better now. I hope they keep this up.

Clearly a yellow-card offense, right?

I am not that sure he really tried to elbow the IC player. He was trying to protect himself IMO

And I don't think the referee saw that, the IC player just told him "Kaka elbowed him", and then Kaka was sent off.

Did you guys see that NK hired 1000 Chinese fans to pretend to be from NK and cheer? Apparently when they used real NK citizens in the past they came back corrupted and had to be sent to camp.

There was a special on here once that showed the routine NK athletes had to do when travelling abroad for competitions. They showed a girls' volleyball team (or something) at the college level.... all looking down w/ their eyes closed as they walked into the gym. Rumor on the streets is part of NK brainwashing is convincing them they are rich and the rest of the world is poorer than them. But, it was Japanese TV, so take that w/ a shaker of salt.
