Is Danny Glover busy?

And besides, Ahnold is going to be in a new film too. Probably not this one, but with his term as Governor almost up, he might find time to smash in some ugly...mother...FUCKER's faces too.

Lord, let's hope so.
Robert Rodriguez presents
It's going to be a 100% fail. I've given up giving the benefit of the doubt to Hollywood ever regaining the former glory of these movie franchises, and Robert Rodriguez is massively overrated.

Arnold came out of retirement for Expendables, so anything is possible.

I've got the 1080p trailer. It looks nice. The script is well old though, penned by Rodriguez for the sequel around 1991, dismissed as trash by Fox shortly after. Its only because all the Predator movies since have been utter shite that they are giving this the green light. I don't like the premise that human scum are brought to the Alien planet.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

They should take the dudes from The Expendables to fight the predators!!!
I mean let's compare the cast:

Predators:
Adrien Brody as Royce, an American ex-military/mercenary soldier
Topher Grace as Edwin, a disgraced physician and a serial killer formerly on the FBI's most wanted list
Danny Trejo as Cuchillo, a Mexican drug cartel enforcer[6]
Alice Braga as Isabelle, a Brazilian SAD black ops sniper [7]
Mahershalalhashbaz Ali as Mombasa, a former Sierra Leone death squad officer
Oleg Taktarov as Nikolai, a former Russian VDV commando[8]
Walton Goggins as Stans, a deadly death-row San Quentin state prison inmate
Louis Ozawa Changchien as Hanzo, a Yakuza/ninja hitman
Laurence Fishburne as Noland, a stranded former U.S. soldier[9]

LOL!! TOPHER GRACE!!! HAHAHAH Laurence Fishburne? lol

Now let us look at the cast from:

The Expendables:
Sylvester Stallone as Barney "The Schizo" Ross, a paramilitary veteran and leader of the team. Originally called Frank the Repairman (was going to be tribute to his Las Vegas Character)
Jason Statham as Lee Christmas, second in command of the team. He is a former SAS soldier and expert at Close Quarters Combat using knives.
Jet Li as Yin Yang, a Chinese expert of martial arts.
Dolph Lundgren as Gunnar Jensen, a Swedish sniper. Jensen hates Yin Yang and fights with him frequently.
Terry Crews as Hale Caesar, Yin's best friend and a weapons specialist.
Randy Couture as Toll Road, demolitions expert.
Mickey Rourke as Tool, a former Expendable, now an arms dealer and tattoo parlor artist/owner.
Gisele Itié as Sandra, a young native woman who's really an Interpol agent.
Nick Searcy as Agent Will Sands, a CIA agent who helps the Expendables.
Bruce Willis as Mr. Church, the man who hires the Expendables.
Arnold Schwarzenegger as Trench, an old rival of Ross.
David Zayas as General Garza, the evil dictator.
Eric Roberts as Agent Monroe, a corrupt CIA agent who is preventing the Expendables from killing General Garza.
Steve Austin as Dan Paine, Monroe's bodyguard

Danny Glover was the one who actually killed a Predator, so I'd rely on him more.

Somebody at Capcom loved Predator so much that it was featured as a stage boss in the arcade PCB release of Three Wonders. Even 20th Century Fox film studio could've easily sued Capcom for this blantant Three Wonders ripoff of their Predator film IP with this unauthorized likeness/portrayal infringement and won with an army of legal experts but that didn't happen in the early 1990s. Eventually, Capcom snagged the exclusive rights to make the Aliens Vs. Predator CPS2 powered game and the rest is history.

Nowdays, folks gotta watch their asses when it comes to imagery infringement or cough up the lawyer fees + court costs + IP damages related to said copyright infringement violations.

I dunno, I mean, it was obviously a Pred ripoff, but they combined it enough with the Rancor to avoid a lawsuit, kekeke. Been playing Midnight Wanderers lately and that thing is cheap as fuck, or I'm doing something very wrong.

I saw the trailer awhile back and think it looks pretty good, certainly better than the AvP abortions. The deal was sealed when I saw Walton Goggins. I'm definitely going to check it out.

I recently rewatched the first one as part of an Arnold marathon and it was just as great as I remembered it being.

He's made a lot of shit but Planet Terror was cool, he did a great job on Sin City and I think Machete looks pretty awesome too.

He's not directing Predators, though - just producing. The original film is amazing though. Better than Aliens (which is totally overrated).

Danny Glover has a pirate's pistol, I'm betting on him.

Also, I doubt Ahnold is anywhere near this; yes, he's filming Expendables, but that's on top of still being Governor of a state in massive trouble.

Wait, I assume that you're talking about this Boss:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5UfW5gpaFU&feature=fvsr

But apart from his mouth, he does not look like the Predator at all!
So, I doubt that there was any chance of Capcom getting sued for that back then.

If that was the case then they should have also sued the Blade 3 producers for making a vampire Pomeranian mutt with Predator / alien like jaws! :D

And don’t forget the vampire Rottweilers and the vampire demons in Blade 2.

All men of honour and integrity agree. Predator is the perfect movie, whereas Aliens is merely half awesome and half retarded. Predator outstrips it in writing, characterisation, acting and effects. Aliens turned Alien into a blockbuster 80s action flick with flimsy attempts at subverting the form that received way too much attention, whereas Predator did all that and more, but received less attention because it is so subtly textured and layered.

I am mostly serious too.

It's probably the best comic to movie adaptation ever done, so unless you have no appreciation for hardboiled fiction and character archetypes or film noir, there's no way it could be called appalling.

I was a huge fan of Sin City the comic book since forever. I saw Rodriguez's tasteless, farcical version and wondered who you have to kill to get a director with a brain to do such things justice.
It was a poor Sin City indeed.

You do realize Frank Miller wrote and directed it alongside Rodriguez, right? He had a massive hand in it and for you grumble about "getting someone to do it justice" is just dumb.

Well aware of it and still absolutely perplexed as to why he allowed it to be released when it was missing so much of razor edge atmosphere and grit of his original works. A real shame.
The fact that Rodriguez chose to film in colour and convert to black and white, treating us to a pooey grey movie that lacked the style and clarity of the light and shadow comic art was just the beginning of a host of issues. Shooting the entire thing on a green screen when finding actual alleyways should have been a cinch was... I'm just going to stop now or I'll be on it all night.

It was duff. That's just my opinion. I promise you it's more informed than it is dumb, but I don't expect everyone to agree.

I liked the first one, but it was in the last century. Haven't watched it ever since (but action cinema hardly got any better since then; they just replaced good looking effects with shitty ones, mostly). The sequel was rather good even re-watched well in this century on the TV. I recall the guns blazing, the shit exploding, the people getting torn apart. Also, a sexy lady riding some poor dude right before the Jamaicans broke into his apartment and killed him. I don't think they would let him finish.

It looks like Ridley Scott the director of the original Alien film is going to make 2 prequels of Alien.

http://movies.msn.com/superfans/science ... ?GT1=28153

Personally I liked both Alien 3 & 4, but I wonder how good these prequels will be without Sigourney Weaver

By the way, what happened to the Predator shoulder gun that was handed over to the female president of wayland Yutani in AVP2?!

And how is it that the real Bishop appears to Ripley at the end of Alien 3 and tries to convince her in giving him the Alien Queen, when he had actually died at the Predator pyramid in Antartica over 300 years before?!

All this makes no sense!

I liked 3, but not really 4. I've said it before and I'll say it again: David Fincher is the most talented director to touch the series. He didn't have the best script in the world to work with.
And how is it that the real Bishop appears to Ripley at the end of Alien 3 and tries to convince her in giving him the Alien Queen, when he had actually died at the Predator pyramid in Antartica over 300 years before?!
I always took it that he was bullshiting about not being an android. His ear and half the back of his head is almost entirely off just before she takes the plunge, and he's still very lucid.

Sin city is a piece of ....... yeah I said it!
Predator 1 and 2 rule. 1 is Epic.
For those who have not seen it.
Watch it on a big mf screen with loud speakers and SIT BACK!
I want to watch it again!
Aliens vs Preadator is still an OK flick it is not that bad
Aliens vs Preadator 2 is one billion times worse as Aliens vs Preadator 1. It´s ridiculous. It´s like a badly made fan made film.
