High-maintenance impulse buy

Post by Minzoku »

Image

I picked up both because they like playmates and the store had only those two, but also because it meant I wouldn't have to go through the trouble of introducing strangers. I should have checked at the store, though--I think Jade Knight is female [Lord British is definitely a lord!]... I'm worried they'll have options if I don't separate them :? so I'll have to get a second cage in a bit... one more day together shouldn't hurt, though.

Well, I did talk about getting them for quite a while now, Kiken

Pardon my ignorance, but what exact type of critters are they? Mice? Gerbils? I'm not very well-versed in small mammals.

With names like that, you really need to dye them red and green, respectively, on a regular basis. Plus, all the hard work would really pay off around late December.

Speaking of high maintenance impulse buys...

Image

Long story, My sister made the impulse buy, but through a set of circumstances I have yet to fully comprehend, we ended up with the maintenance. This was taken quite some time ago, she's about a year old now. Her name is Monza (after the racetrack in Italy, we have a bunch of Formula 1 fans in the house) and she spends half the day barking at just about everything.

the gerbils are adorable. ^_^

my brother has a couple dwarf hamsters and they are like 2 chicken nuggets (his words) that sleep all day, with some quality wheel time for flavor.

however that is some severe mishandling that the store is (potentially) keeping the habitats co-ed.
I have no sig whatsoever.

Apartment's too small for a cat  or I'd have him instead... that is, after fighting my ex's mother for custody ;) [long story]

No, I still play that... I just want some company while I'm playing ;) It gets lonely after everyone else has gone to bed and I still have to stay up :(

A friend of mine says he got ONE gerbil once and suddenly had like fifteen  apparently "he" got knocked up before coming home with him...

I'm just worried they might be brother and sister, which would be even worse :?

Vexorg, that is the cutest puppy I've ever seen :D If I had a dog, I'd want one like that :)

Heh heh, if there were a caption to that pic, it'd be "Hey! Hey! I don't like the look of that thing you're pointing at me...what exactly are you trying to pull here? I've got my eye on you, Two-Legs..." Doesn't look like she trusts you a bit, heh heh.

It mean good.

'sokay, as much as I love them, I don't think I'll get any more [that is, PURCHASE any more] after these two. I prefer cats, but I'm waiting until homeownership for that. :? Mostly I wanted a relatively non-committal pet for some of these lonely nights :(

BTW, Vex: PUPPYBREAK! :D :D :D

I hope THEY know that! :x

;)

Actually, six wouldn't be too bad, if I got three of each sex. I could separate them into the boys and girls, and they'd have company pretty much for the rest of their lives...

I'm looking at "no babies!!!1" alternatives, though :?

heh @ UFO :P

Once I seperated the babies the parents died within 3-4 weeks  I only had them for a year at the longest.

On a lighter note once(If) you see the little Gerbils you might change your mind :wink

btw has anyone seen those giant gerbils?

Their about the same size as a rat nearly

Actually, some guy in my school brought a HUGE guinea pig to the cafeteria. Almost TWO TIMES the size of a rat.
