LOL. You bought 3 different ones?monouchi wrote:Yep, I bought 3 different sets/colors of 3D glasses, still couldnt get it to work any good...emphatic wrote:Hey, did anyone tried playing Futari with that 3D setting wearing red/blue glasses?

The 3D techonology used in the SMS 3D glasses was dervived from Sega's techincal know-how with their 1982 arcade game cab of Sub-Roc 3D with it's built-in 3D LCD shutter-type of glasses.BrianC wrote:No mention of SMS? That did stereoscopic 3D and it worked pretty well. It had a shmup, as well (Blade Eagle 3D). The Zaxxon and Space Harrier games for it are pretty cool, though the latter has a low frame rate.

Cross your eyes juuuuust rightncp wrote:Where the hell do you actually GET 3d glasses anyway (like what kind of store would sell them)?
I'm dying to try Minecraft (dope game, by the way) in 3D but have no glasses. I also wanted to try Futari but judging by Monouchi's post it doesn't work so well.

Psssh, too simple. Maybe reverse the controls too and then we'll talk.spadgy wrote:ncp wrote:Depending on the imaginary distance of the pixel that I'm looking at, right?

With Cave shmups being so notoriously easy, perhaps having to constantly micro-adjust the convergnce of your crossed eyes would add a little challenge eh?
As ive already stated to Spadgy, no sense of vision or looking at the big picture. If there was ever time to bring new life to shumps to target todays generation of players it is here and now, even if the tech doesn't work perfectly 1st time, you can always have the option to turn the 3D off and play regular 2D for the f**king dinosaur and cavemen generation players like you know who.DEL wrote:How does the saying go? - "Don't try to fix something that isn't broken".
2D works for shooters. It gives pixel-perfect playability with no disorientation issues.
The push by developers to produce games that look and play like movies should be only one facet, one of many genres, but NOT the goal for all games.
ever

Yeah but that's selling out (I mean with reference to transforming a 2D genre into a 3D one).Like i keep saying, you've got to look at the BIG PICTURE for future shumps developers which looks pretty much non-existent at the moment.
Oh that's rich coming from YOU! I'm the one who plays both new and old titles.you can always have the option to turn the 3D off and play regular 2D for the f**king dinosaur and cavemen generation players like you know who.
