because you've already played the aksys translation and they're known for not keeping in japanese language options?

How the fuck would you know? There aren't even any trailers with English voice acting yet.

But then again, why would you want the US version with a possibly flawed achievement list on your gamercard? That's bad internet rep. Gotta keep that completion ratio up.

To both of you, they've bastardized every other game they've handled, what would make them stop now? Even when they do leave in Japanese voices, the make the subtitles painful. And again, when I already have the game, there's no reason to have another version with nothing new that's worth having.

And yet again, Elixir, you have no knowledge of any situation you run your mouth about. You're so shallow that you can't think outside the idea that not everyone who plays Xbox 360 just plays games to get achievements. Regardless of how many I have, I play my other consoles just as much and don't give a flying fuck about anything regarding "internet rep" or "completion ratio." It seems you, on the other hand are rather concerned about keeping a certain face on internet websites by criticizing people again and again on false claims to make yourself stand out. Carry on, though, its pretty amusing.

Machine Ares, you are what is wrong with the internet. Making up shit and stating it likes it's fact. Speak in past-tense once something has HAPPENED, not before then. Otherwise, you are no more than a stupid, speculating troll.

Let's end this tangent now. Eh?

Haha, "internet cred". Yeah, that's it.

This indicates that you don't know what they're doing either. I could have sworn you just said:
Aksys bastardized the shit out of the game script anyway and has awful English voice-overs
Good work making baseless assumptions out of nowhere, you clearly don't know what Aksys are doing with Agarest. This is a company who are willing to go out of their way to localize games with small audiences which will most likely sell poorly. That takes balls and should be respected. You're not doing a good job of making posts that aren't either 1) getting yourself contradicted or 2) making you look like you just say the first thing that comes to mind.

Why would they release a game with a boob mousepad, hugging pillow and other content that even Japanese residents are wanting to import, if they're not going to localize the game with Japanese audio? And what are all of these other games that Aksys have apparently ruined?

Yeah yeah, ok, icycalm. Actually I do have knowledge about the situation which is why I'm pointing out that none of your shit makes any sense. Statements like "English voice acting 'bastardizes' games/Japanese voice acting 'wouldn't make sense' with English subtitles" make absolutely no sense. Claiming that they have ruined games that aren't even out doesn't make sense. Claiming that Aksys, a company who has staff members paying attention to their fanbase's requests on the forums have a "bad reputation" doesn't make sense.

By your standards, this means the game outright cannot be localized. Remember how I said posting trendy garbage to illicit a reply only ends up in tears? Well. It's funny that you're trying to patronize me about running my mouth, since you continually fall flat on yours.

A good friend of mine is really addicted to them. He's the kind of guy who would look for every secret known to man in RPGs. I think Disgaea made him crazy.
But I don't see the problem in them. I don't really care about them, but some people like rewards(how minor they may be) for their achievements.

It IS nice to have a cute little icon pop up once you did something awesome, but i can't stand
A) achievements for nothing and
B) people that play the shittiest games just to raise their gamerscore.

really, who cares about gamerscore?
it's nothing like a proper high score that demands extreme skill, it's just a stupid e-penis contest about which kid has the richest parents ;P

Anybody going to this? What do you think? New annoucements, or just the stuff we know about. If xbox is putting this on, seems like a good time to talk about xbla, or getting doujin on xblig.

Asada says they will announce "a number of new games" at the Xbox 360 Shooting Festa on Saturday, the 27th. He is preparing a promo video to show there as well.

it's the same thing that drives MMOs players for as long as some people are reported to do: there is a reward system in place and it apparently works.

Really? I wish there was a option on the 360 to remove all gamescore/achievements because to me it is useless casual BS. I just want a console that I can put a disc in and play.

set achievement notifications to off
set autosign in to on
set autoboot from disk drive to on

there you go!
New annoucements
should be, has a "That game as well?!" type statement on the xbox site announcement, as well as "others" in the games list for XBLA.

Muchi Muchi etc. announced for XBLA i wonder?

OK I didn't know about it, makes my life easier.

Few more questions:

If I can get a J360 I can change the text to English (of course it will not change the region of the system I know that).

For patches it can be done in the game or on XBL?

Sorry I just never had a XBOX before.

Edit: Is a HDD really needed? I'm just going to play the game not like go on XBL and buy/download stuff.

I'm hoping for more on Kof Sky Stage, this game has some kind of info embargo on it. Maybe a teaser from Treasure? Msoft really wants that big exclusive. Look's like Cave is stealing the show though.

If you have no interest in DLC then you should be fine without the HD.

inserting a game that needs patched will prompt you that there's an update available and ask you if you want to update.

you can buy the large size memory card and put patches on that, but really i'd suggest getting the HDD.

re: Festa. I was thinking about it but worked very late and it's pissing down with rain this morning. will be giving it a miss.
JAPJAC and a few others are going though.

It doesn't begin until noon, which is still two hours away in Japan. Calm yourself.

That's surprising to hear... I'm curious to hear what you found disapproving in Aksys' releases.

As for the game itself, it's the game with all the DLC in disc form... of course convenience alone may be a hard sell to the more hardcore gamers out there, but think of the cause you're supporting! The more shmups that become accessible to everyone, the more everyone wins.

I think we crashed his site, too many F5s I guess.

5pb presentation starts. Says they're working on a new shooter for 360 in 2010.
