I'm betting 1000 yen that in Japan, it will not. There have been LE's a plenty of Futari & Death Smiles for weeks after release.neojma wrote: Well, you also have to consider that a new/sealed LE will probably sell for more on the second hand market than the preorder price. The faceplate isn't even good. They should really have stuck to the original art with this one.
I was actually fairly disappointed with the Futari LE's soundtrack, it just didn't really stand out at all.

Is there any place left I can preorder this game? It seems like nobody has any left at this point.

You can still preorder the game at play-asia or ncsx or yesasia. Seems that the First Print Copy of the Limited Edition is sold out, but should be available shorty after the game's release.

No LE availability known as yet.
Re: Espgaluda II
Sorry, but I neglected to mention that I was looking for the Limited Edition. Does anyone know where I could possibly preorder it at this point? Also, do you really think it will available after the release date?Defcon 5 wrote:Musha wrote:Is there any place left I can preorder this game? It seems like nobody has any left at this point.

Oh, it will definitely be available right after release on auction sites ... at a ridiculously inflated price.Musha wrote: Sorry, but I neglected to mention that I was looking for the Limited Edition. Isn't the LE just a faceplate? Not worth it to me, but if you really want it that badly it will be out there.

If you have a contact in Japan, they'll probably show up en masse at Amazon.co.jp Marketplace once the game is released - this is how I ended up getting my Deathsmiles LE after the fact. If you don't have a contact in Japan, you -might- be able to convince one of the sellers to ship internationally, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Re: Espgaluda II
So, I am finally a happy owner of an Espagaluda II board!
Personally I feel like the stages are somewhat shorter than the first game and that the overall difficulty has been ramped up a (to compensate, perhaps?). Also, there's a lot more going on on the screen. However, I can't help but feel that this in some way has led to some unwanted "sluggishness" to the whole experience. There's noticably more slowdown, sometimes when there are no big explosions and the slight horisontal scrolling (when you move away from the center of the screen) make the vertical scrolling chug a little. No big things, but it takes away from the smooth feeling of Espgaluda I
.
Gameplay-wise I think it's a blast, though. It's not as "clean" as the first game, but with the overdrive mode you can get some pretty nice scores. It feels like a natural continuation of the series and will probably provide enough diversity to stay fresh for some time. Thumbs up there

This. The whole Limited thing seems farcical to me. Death Smiles (released first) you can still get now!
Thanks to PA i have missed out on this one, but would never use the faceplate anyway so maybe it's done me a favour?
Re: Espgaluda II
Well over there they've got way more distributors, for the few import shops/sites the rest of the world has access to, not so much. Once all the preorders are filled (within a few hours like NCSX and this game lol) they'll never open up again unless CAVE decides to do a more printings of them.Wavey Pavey wrote:GaijinPunch wrote:I'm betting 1000 yen that in Japan, it will not. Completely OT: This morning I had a dream where play-asia went out of business

Due to lack of enough E2LE preorders perhaps

If Play-Asia is denying Pre-Orders I'm assuming its due to the lower price.
Just a guess.....

Re: Espgaluda II
I've got two LE on preorder, one for just under £90, another for £70.
The idea was to cancel the first preorder if I managed to get on the P-A one - which I did. Turns out I can't cancel so...
Anyone wanna buy one?

Why would you pay over £30 for a faceplate in the first place?

Why do people pay 2 or 3 times that much for a lot of other inanimate objects? They're collectors items and great asthetic pieces and some people just appreciate them more than others.Nico87 wrote:Why would you pay over £30 for a faceplate in the first place?

Re: Espgaluda II
I managed to get the LE via PA, but it looks as though it's going to stay sealed until I enentually sort out a J360. Oh well, at least I can put the new faceplate on and continue playing futari
I don't get why Cave just don't let us know one way or the other, as the decision has obviously been made. The lack of information and the localisation announcements sort of convince me it will be locked though.
The original was my favourite PS2 port and my game of choice after a heavy DOJ session!
Apologies for not going to the region locking thread, but it's only Galuda's status I'm concerned with. I'm sure I can get that J360 before Ketsui is released...

Re: Espgaluda II
The region-locking thread is all-purpose. Its main purpose is to purposely remove all purpose from over-discussing region-locking in specific game threads so as to allow the game threads to serve their original purpose(s).
In other news, I don't care very much about playing Galuda II anymore. If I play it, I play it; if I don't, I don't. I am, however, interested in the included soundtrack. Are there any previews (prelistens?) out anywhere? Is it just the original stuff or arranged? Hell, does anyone HAVE it already and have some impressions? I know we have some surly scoundrels scouring these seven seas, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone had already struck booty.

Since I already have the arcade OST of EII. It better be a new(arrange) soundtrack.m3tall1ca wrote:The region-locking thread is all-purpose. I can't guarantee it but something tells me this is what we can look forward to...Is it just the original stuff or arranged?

from upthreadCuilan wrote:[...] the OST CD included with the port will be a bit different from the retail OST already out. The voice collection will be taken out, with a bonus track consisting of 2 songs from Black Label included.
Kind of a gyp, but since an Arrange ST was included with the original release, it makes some sense. I need to get around to canceling my NCS pre-order, I think.

Re: Espgaluda II
Does anyone know if they're going to have arranged tracks in the game? I liked the fact that you could change original and arranged soundtracks in the option menu of Esp 1. But the past 2 cave games never had this option which was kind of a downer.
Re: Espgaluda II
videogameimports has pre orders up now for the LE as well as the LE + telephone card.
Re: Espgaluda II
Does anyone know why NCSX and Play-Asia not include phone cards?Vyxx wrote:videogameimports has pre orders up now for the LE as well as the LE + telephone card.
btw could you link the pre-order page for videogameimports? I never heard of them.
Thanks
