I didn't buy ketsui because of some obsession over shmups. I was into video game collecting long before going to your meets. And I'd been collecting arcade pcbs of games I really liked for a while. So to me buying ketsui was just another part of my collecting hobby. And my ketsui playing is fairly casual unless I'm really close to some sort of new score or something. But I play any game that way

nice collection wizshaw. What're your favourite aes games that you have? (or mvs if you collect those). Or what do you consider the best parts of your collection?

To answer your question, a few of my favorite NG games would be, well, Neo turf Masters is an exceptional showcase of game mechanics and gameplay. Im not much of a sports guy, but this game really shines. Baseball stars 2 is also amazing, played a full season and I still pick it up to this day. I also have a Twinkle star sprite MVS kit that I love and own that game in 3 different formats.

I also own about 30 complete NGPC games, probably the best handheld ever made in my opinion.

I also really like the sega saturn too, and have about 70 imports for that. I almost bought a couple of saturns, saturn modems, virtual on network edition and a simulated phone line with two pairs of twinsticks so I could have a networked virtual on unit in my living room. I look back on it, and think, that was kinda crazy, but at the time, I think it would have been fun. That would probably round out my three favorite systems of all time.

I currently play ALOT of koei stuff, turn based strat like romance of the three kingdoms and own almost EVERY Koei game ever released.

And like I said, I really always have had a interest in shooters and would like to get good at them, hell I own quite a few of them but never utilized them much, but in a sense I need a bit of a push, and hopefully this site will help me do that; my goal is to really study the play mechanics, learn how to do combo's and learn the gameplay tricks to really maximize score. I think I am also going to have to pick up another TV so I can tate the thing, because right now I just have a 32 inch bravia that is dominated by my 360 and PS3. And I cant really see myself moving that on its side. My gf wouldn't like it to much as she plays gears of war with her friends on it.

Methinks obsession/addiction is a sore spot for Drakon...

What the hell is the KDS I keep seeing in peoples signatures... and I must say, the restrictions of signature are just a little extreme in my opinion. Can't really post anything.

Ok, well I get that, but a cow???? I mean shouldn’t it be colourful ships with mass bullets on the screen. I mean only the elite could defend against something like that... why not showcase the prowess of such skill? All the cow can do is give you a squirt of milk, sure you can aim them but they really can’t be compared.

it was kinda inside joke....SonicR started a thread about ketsui being over-rated and kept calling it a sacred cow....we took it a few steps further....

Leaving now, Ill be down in about 30 mins or so. See you guys later.

Also, if anybody has an old broken 360 hori stick that they want to sell. Ill buy it. I need the board out of it, just as long as the wires are in tact going to the buttons.

Thx

Depends on the pad you're using but some of the 360 pads use security torx screws (torx with a pin in the center).

Lots of fun happened in this meet due to Futari Novice/Black Label/Arrange. I'm actually surprised none of us went to Sushi Time today as we usually would. Oh well, more money saved.
Thanks again for the ride, WizShaw. I really appreciate it.

Sorry about the whole falling asleep thing Koa :P I was nursing a minor hangover from my work's Christmas party the night before. The Futari port is a lot of fun, really looking forward to my copy coming (better get here before Christmas ), and it's even more tempting now to get a 360 setup to throw into my cab. I'd really like to know if ESP2 is gonna be region free though. Guess we'll wait and see...
