Fucking how
Game reviewer maybe?

Seems a bit early to have found some place that has them sitting in boxes somewhere. :? It's still like a week and a half from release. But I did find this, because I'm creepy and google/search for people's user names.

Hell, maybe the guy works somewhere relating to Activision now.

Nice setup! What make is the scope (looks new rather than used)? How much did it run you?
It's a Philips/Fluke PM-3084. It is used but not terribly old (tiny amount of plastic yellowing, you can only tell looking closely from the top edge), I picked it up on ebay for less than they generally cost, £160 I think. It's 4 channels at 100mhz, I was told I'd only really need two but in fact I found a really good use for all four only recently, so it was definitely worth it. The automatic setup button is also really useful - saves time when you first switch it on and need to find the trace, just connect the probe(s), hit auto, and then look at the results.

This is a Rastan board I fixed, lower 3 channels are samples/left FM/right FM, top channel is the mixed output after the resistor array.

Nice Skykid :) One thing I dislike about Mac laptops (from my experience with the ones we have at work) is how bad they look after there's a bit of wear. One of ours has lost all the finish where peoples palms rest on the body while typing. The white keys are also a bitch to keep clean, most of the Mac keyboards at my work are pretty gross ('cept mine, I keep that baby sparkling )

I'm at the point where I'm formulating plans to try and keep it in this condition forever (even though that never works. :( )
It's truly a thing of beauty, the finest laptop engineering evah. I love messing around with the trackpad features - too cool.
Broom, I used to be the same way - now I'm also converted to the shiny white pleasure.

Just hope you never start having problems. Once you take it into get fixed once it seems like you keep on going back. My macbookpro has been the worst computer I've ever owned as far as repairs go. Thank god for applecare and living near a apple store. I don't think they like me so much there anymore.

Bought this for the girlfriend's birthday. On backorder so she'll have to wait a few weeks, but she's excited. The best thing is, it's like buying a present for myself, cause I get to eat all the cake and other stuff she makes with it

That sucks. :(

Happened to me a while back apart of that whole "Visa loosing everyone's credit card numbers" fiasco. Was a mess to clean up.

Balls. I've had my debit card skimmed 3 times in the past year, luckily never had any money taken though, just had to deal with the hassle of changing my PIN a billion times (and then trying to remember it)

if by groove quantification you mean 'swing', then yes

its gonna take a while to get comfortable with the hardware....

this is pretty much my first venture into actual hardware midi sequencing, so its a lot of info to absorb....the manual is 124 pages

give me a few weeks 8)

Atari 2600 with 6 controllers. And yes, I will be playing with friends this and not just displaying it.

Unfortunately the downside is that now I own a copy of E.T. too.

Where did you score them cool Genesis shmup carts from, handsome_rakshas? That's quite a bargin indeed.

I know if I scour my local Game Crazy store, sometimes I can find an occasional lone Genesis shmup cart that isn't in my stash (but it takes a pair of "eagle eyes" to spot them out of the many Genesis cart out there).
