I liked older Armored Cores, how does For Answer compare to the classics of the series?Gespenst wrote:Dynasty Warrior 6: Empires, Dynasty Warrior Gundam 2, Armored Core: For Answer
Those too?
Nope, I do most of my gaming on my PC but I have a Wii, a PS2 and a Dreamcast that I play pretty often. PS3 is my first/only "HD Console."Taylor wrote: Uncharted and Uncharted 2 are, and will be, great. You will have to do some aiming with the analogue stick during all the fighting (it does have CQC but you're shooting most people), but there's a lot of traversal and, frankly, it's worth it.
Blazblue is on your list, do you not have a 360? Because there's a ton of multiplatform stuff.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
Holy shit! I didn`t know about that. Thanks for the heads up.Just to give you a heads up Wipe Out is being released in the UK as a hard copy blu ray retail disc with the game and the recently released update fury pack all in one for about 40 or 50 bucks.
The entire Wipeout HD + Fury update pack weighs in at over 1.7GB easily of a PS3's HDD space usage (including all the earlier updates to the WO-HD game itself). Will SCEE add some more bonus content to fill up some of that empty space on the Blu-Ray game disc? Yes, a real physical disc copy is cool to have for posterity in the event that the PS3 HDD does bite the dust sooner or later. ^_~Strider77 wrote:Metal Gear Solid 4, it is my favorite PS3 exclusive... and one of my favorite next gen games.
My bad.... you all ready listed that. Just to give you a heads up Wipe Out is being released in the UK as a hard copy blu ray retail disc with the game and the recently released update fury pack all in one for about 40 or 50 bucks.
Ah, then there's a lot of stuff. People are just naming exclusives here.kengou wrote:Nope, I do most of my gaming on my PC but I have a Wii, a PS2 and a Dreamcast that I play pretty often. Ooh, forgot about Mercs 2, I was interested in that one. Might check it out.Ruldra wrote:My experience with PS3 is limited, but I'd suggest:
- Demon's Souls: the main reason I'm getting a PS3
- Soul Calibur IV
- Mercenaries 2
- Dead Space
*Fat Princess: Plays a lot like Team Fortress, looks fun but I get the feeling it becomes boring after a while, mainly because people don't work as a team and it's just mayhem all the time.
Best PS3 game hands down. Was worth a good 800 hours for me.Last Guardian wrote:Just make sure to get WipeOut HD in any shape or form. Got Demons Souls coming up and it seems like it's also got the kind of challenge any shmup fan should like. Can't wait!
As I've only watched some plays and the trailer, it looks cooler & more fast paced than the other (especially the flying with VOB part & fighting the Arms Fort), although seems a bit easier...kengou wrote:I liked older Armored Cores, how does For Answer compare to the classics of the series?Gespenst wrote:Dynasty Warrior 6: Empires, Dynasty Warrior Gundam 2, Armored Core: For Answer

I love it. Like Gespenst already mentioned it's a helluva lot faster, not only the few VOB launching in some stages, but also the whole gameplay in general - quick boosting and faster boosters in general available in shops compared to the older games.Gespenst wrote:As I've only watched some plays and the trailer, it looks cooler & more fast paced than the other (especially the flying with VOB part & fighting the Arms Fort), although seems a bit easier...kengou wrote:I liked older Armored Cores, how does For Answer compare to the classics of the series?Gespenst wrote:Dynasty Warrior 6: Empires, Dynasty Warrior Gundam 2, Armored Core: For Answer

Eugenics: you know it's right!
You might want to grab the basic Wizardry:Torawareshi Tamashii no Meikyû demo-package on the Japanese PSN - it's completely bare-bones and I haven't played much of it, also I don't know how much the language barrier will prevent from enjoying it, but hey, it's a free tryout.CMoon wrote:Sorry to revive this; I've started downloading some PSN games (Super Stardust, Everyday Shooter) and am looking for more PSN recommendations (I've heard lots of good things about Braid.)
