I don't have a PCB. I go to my local Arcade in London and play the game with the "adorably" hopeless joystick. The screen isn't working properly. If you put your ship on the left edge of the screen, you can only see the very right edge of your ship, which makes it very difficult to play the first shell/arm (don't know what it is!) in Stage 3 using formation, sliding up and down along the left edge of the screen.Necronopticous wrote:That’s a disgusting score, MHK. Congrats. Shoot for #1, dude.
I really need to buy this pcb and get back into it.

So THAT's how that mysterious seventy-one million score got on the scoreboard. You must have travelled back in time and put it on the board to mess with our heads.jonny5 wrote:you left in such a hurry you didnt get to see me beat your score......i had Lx6 left at the endmalik11 wrote:#07 malik11 51,847,160 ALL (Lx4) PCB

Arrange - no rapid
Sasupoika - 633,707,013 - ALL (Lx3) - PS2
Had three lives left after Aki's final attack. Oh god it's insane in arrange too.
By the way Promotheus, you have mixed spots 5 and 6.

I want to post an Original clear score myself, too. Have had about 4 clears, couple of em 1LX. I think I can do it eventually.
I'm using Type-S Blue Shot. Fun stuff. It's kind of a blast playing with my HRAP1 (yep, rockin' the Sanwa.)

Great scores, keep it up! Looking forward to having a reason to make myself play again

Re: Mushihime-sama (PCB / PS2)
I feel a little silly to work more on the Original clear lx4 or no-miss. It's a terrible feeling to know you messed up your rhythm by sweeping back at the wrong time, which usually happens to me in stage 5. Right now my main trouble spots are the last boss, and parts of stage 5. But I sometimes die in stage 3 because I barely get sniped, usually when I'm moving to the other side chunks for the 1up. I thought I had it figured out, but I sometimes die there anyway. I forget to bomb the stage 4 boss when I need to, usually because I'm usually testing myself to see if I can survive all the patterns, right? I figured out how to handle the st. 5 midboss, though. I've been trying to milk the nanabushes in original mode out of boredom >_>. Sad thing is, if I get to the last boss with all my lives remaining, I'm sure I'll crack under pressure. So... I might have a ways to go. Practice mode is balls for original, bullets are slooow. No-miss certainly is a feat of sorts, though... I want it. >_<
I've been getting a bit of Ultra mode inbetween original mode runs but as af now I can't pass the 2nd stage. Pretty cool.

Re: Mushihime-sama (PCB / PS2)
Stage 3 Extend: Finish one side, which is easy, then wait for it to fire another burst from the other side. Once it does, you can just hightail to the other side without firing and guarantee not getting hit. Finish the other side, take out the center, no prob :3
My NO-MISS runs likely used bombs at the following spots: Stage 3 boss I don't bother with the later patterns in the first form. gotta kill all the wings. Stage 4 boss, the zigzag pattern. Dunno why. Stage 5 before the boss, if I mess up the setup going into it. That leaves you plenty of bombs to take out the Stage 5 boss. Basically figure out how to survive longer, you'll eventually know how best to conserve bombs thru it.

Re: Mushihime-sama (PCB / PS2)
Thanks for the tips. See, I have trouble high tailing it on the St. 3 extend after I take out one side. What I do is after I take out the right side, I wait for it to shoot again, in which I dodge all the patterns doing a diagnol microdoge, similar to the way I dodge the patterns when I'm taking out the right side. After that micrododge, I swing over to a bit left of the head's center spray and remain stationary to do another micrododge. Sometimes I die during this dodge however, I usually just try tapping left to avoid it, but perhaps I need to do a more precise diaganol left micrododge. THEN I position below the chunks to destroy them. It sounds like you're implying I just zip right over there while avoiding a burst of shots from it. That sounds kinda difficult... but I suppose I can give it a shot.
Kill the wings huh on st. 3 boss, huh? I'll try to prioritize that, wasn't sure if they were doing anything in particular. Granted, I usually, 80% of the time survive the St. 3 extend get part, but that 20% can be real annoying,

Re: Mushihime-sama (PCB / PS2)
random as hell but I think Mushihimesama officially shuns the hyphen. I dunno why, that's how I've always seen it

Re: Mushihime-sama (PCB / PS2)
I tried to grasp how to properly get the extend on the 3rd stage.
I succeeded a few times, but afterwards I always died.
Then I decided to always bomb one side of the creature.

Re: Mushihime-sama (PCB / PS2)
Whatever works, right?
I know how to get the extend, but I only manage to get it about 50% of the time because I end up killing the center before I get all of the side segments destroyed.

Re: Mushihime-sama (PCB / PS2)
Unless I'm playing Arrange, I usually don't bother destroying all segments properly, instead I bomb and point-blank one side, then methodically destroy the other. One life for one bomb is a suitable trade-off.
