Indeed that's what happened, and since it's been the unspoken rule for years that we play on one credit, I'm afraid that score can't be accepted. Added it because I didn't know the credit number was hidden in the last two digits, sorry. I'll add the stuff suggested to the first post.

Scoreboard updated.

Shatterhand - Pelé Shooting Team - 1.985.200 - Stage 10 - Smart

Fuck this game. I already wasn't in the mood to play the STGT this year, and this game kills my mood for it even more.

There haven't been enough crying and bitching about the game, so here I go

The enemy shots are too small
The Smart Pods feel too damn random. I never know if they are going to pick the bullets or not, which makes me feel I should dodge everything anyway.
The game is extremely cheap. EXTREMELY. Enemies shooting just before they leave the screen, they merciless point-blank at you, the screen is too wide, and if you stay too long at one side of the screen, and then decide to go the other side, there may be a enemy right there which will obviously point-blank you (At least they don't shoot while off-screen).
You must DODGE Power-Ups because only the machine-gun seems to be useful. Of course, it's also the most rare power-up.
The bomb from the other weapons are also useless.
You get Laser on level 2 and you are fucked.
Score based on hidden bonus which are a pain to find, I don't like to keep on shooting everywhere to find this kind of stuff.
Score based on BUGs
30 stages of the same shit over and over and over except it just gets harder. Did the game really needed THIRTY LEVELS?

Fuck that. And we will probably have to swallow Garegga on the last week. Yeah.

Edit: "Dele" = "Of it".
Edit2: Change 25 to 30, as I got the number of stages wrong.

This game is not too hard (but not too easy) overall. You just gotta watch your ass all-time and keep in mind that ENEMY coming from any side. Will shoot instantly. I found the final fight with DUO very stressing. First form was very easy.. too easy then I JUMPED UP when I saw his real form... so stressing!

moozooh - Team Hard Gay - 3,311,600 - 17 - Smart - MAME (World).

I don't like the second loop at all. I have enough fun pointblanked from stage 10 on, now there are unblockable projectiles coming from every angle (and yes, especially at an angle).

Got a bit anxious on the last spinning turret on the train. Not sure I like the pods in this. I rely on them too much and even when the pods defend bullets ...its weird like that.

I'm playing the Xbox CCC2 version. Three lives total (one in use and two in stock). Default extends are also the same as the arcade version.

I stopped playing on MAME OS X because of the lack of auto-fire.

@DJ Incompetent: What does Joy2Key provide? Are people setting up auto-waggle buttons?

The reason sikraiken asked is that Varth from the current ROMset has extends set at 600k, 2M and 4.5M by default, and in [way] earlier sets, they were set at 600k and every 1.4M after that. Which is right?

Ahh, sorry. I didn't realize there were earlier versions.

The default [normal] extends on the Xbox version are at 600k, 2M and 4.5M.

Edit: There is an option to change it to other extends like 600k/every 1.4M, but that is not the default or "normal" difficulty.

Are people using auto-waggle setups?

This has to be made clear. Waggling on a keyboard its a lot easier than a joypad... I keep switching my fingers between the dpad and the keyboard. If I could set a button to auto-waggle or something my life would be a LOT easier.

I also could use the arcade stick, but somehow I play shmups a lot better with a Dpad (I end up using the sticks just for fighting games)

I believe autowiggle is prohibited, but you can set up additional buttons for, say, left and right movements so that you could avoid wiggling using d-pad.

I do the same thing. I use a fightpad and the keyboard keys to waggle. You can setup auto waggle in xpadder. You can set two commands or more to one key.

xpadder is also better than joy2key.
