I just tried the new firmware. I have no idea what the new FULL_HD????? setting does as i could not get a 1080p picture on my tv with either setting. I also tried with Vsync on but of course that didn't help either. Damn...
Anyway a bit off topic but since we already covered sync problems on different consoles in the past i'll just post it here.
My friend dropped off his RGB modified PC-Engine for me to take a look at. On his screen the top part is flickering as hell, but on my tv its not as bad. Where the picture should be black its gray instead and the graphics are flickering a little bit. A lot better than on his tv but you can clearly see something is wrong.
I have not tested it on the XRGB-3 as i don't have enough stepdown converters but i'm pretty sure it would work fine on that, and the real goal is to make it work on his tv.
I tried to install the LM1881 chip inside the RGB cable but strangely enough this doesn't change anything
Inside the colour booster cable i can see that there are three transistors and capasitators to boost the R, G and B signals. I was thinking that maybe doing the same for the sync signal could solve the problem and make the PC-Engine work on my friends tv.
Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

I changed all my inputs to Warm 1 like you said. It took me only a few min. to get used to
