Just thought I'd tell you guys about the latest issue of Retro Gamer magazine here in the UK which has got a pretty freakin sweet cover disk with 50 clone shmups on it.
Some of the games are really quite good, especially the Thunderforce III/IV clone Thunderslash.

Also are those complete games or demos and what issue # is it?
Yeah, it's issue 17 or volume 2 issue 5. They're full games apparently although I havn't had time to play them all yet, there's 50 games on it I think. Quite a few R-Type and Gradius clones.
And check out the latest Edge, its got got interviews with G REV, Milestone and Triangle Service.

Somebody who gets this disc maybe AIM me? Username: Mimeblade
I can sometimes find this magazine in Ohio, but it's very pricey, over $10 as I recall. I haven't yet been moved to buy a copy.
it's £6.... damn expensive especially considering the magazine itself is rag thin. might pick it up though for the disk alone. 6 quid for 50 shmups ain't bad really lol

You fing first worlders are such a bunch of whiney bitches. That magazine costs $20 here in the third world and dammit if it isn't worth every penny every month.
Can't wait to get back home in a week to see that beautiful issue.
If you have a local Borders bookstore in your city/town in the USA, then you can buy the UK produced Retro Gamer magazine that comes with a bundled CD-Rom disc...worth the pricey $$$ just for the cool retro gaming disc alone. And yes, the Retro Gamer magazine is worth checking out for the cool retro gaming articles alone!
If any of you guys outside of the UK want the newest issue of the mag asap, PM me. If everyone can let me know by, say, Sunday I'll troop into town Monday and get a load to post out to people. Just Paypal me the cash for the mag and postage.
I'll nip to the postoffice tomorrow morning if I can, and confirm how much for postage.
