Nintendo, you say that your philosophy for the Wii is trying to get more people to play games.

In practice, it's worked. Now quit trying to get more people to play games and start catering to the people that already do. :x

Oh, I've played it. I'm just saying that if you're going to fight fires in a video game, why not do it with style? ;)

I don't think bold text will make them take your advice, bro.

Anyone feel that Wii Sports Resort (w/ motion plus) is essentially Nintendo redoing exactly what they did with the Wii launch (but, maybe, getting it right this time?) It is really strange to see a title that may not offer much more than Wii sports + Wii play, with the exception that they're basically saying 'Look, we've really fixed it up this time!'

Actually, I think there's a bit more than that. I'm suspicious this is more than just marketing the motion plus. Truth is, a lot of developers really haven't taken to the wii; maybe this is another tech demo to effectively put a lot of ideas/coding into the hands of third party programmers and saying 'look here, this is what you can do.'

I won't be trying Wii Sports, but I'll check out the Motion Plus when it's available inside a Wiimote and some homebrew has been written to take advantage of it in a sane way.

The crap that's come out since hasn't diminished my memories of WarioWare: Twisted. Not a perfect sequel, but a functional one.

We are ungrateful indeed to knock a console so fully hacked, and with so much potential to remain profitable anyway. "Casuals" are for us to USE, like PopCap's Zuma used Mitchell's Puzz Loop.
