This game has a pretty entertaining scoring system - while the Fever modes fool you into thinking that blasting your way through everything at speed is the way to go, if you're playing for score, you should be aiming to make each formation last as long as possible, and plan your Fever activation carefully to trigger as many Two-Line Fevers as you can. Quite a lot of risk involved here.
You can also start a three-line fever mode, known as a Full House Fever, that is probably the most lucrative scoring mode in the game, which involves you, armed with nothing more than a triple-width Laser, aiming to disable a giant UFO at the top of the screen that is protected by a continually shuffling barrier of invincible giant invaders. The time limit in Full House is quite a bit longer than the other two modes, and once you disable the UFO, you will generate about ten pink chips for every second of Laser contact.Vincent Draconis wrote:Initiating a Two Lines Fever and grabbing the treasure trove of falling gold & pink items essentially guarantees you an S Rank for a stage, so it's worth all the effort.
There are only two ways to activate a Full House Fever, though. And since it takes a good deal of time to set up a Full House, your time would be better spent setting up for a Two-Line Fever, instead.
