I'm not going to dig it up, but there was a pretty good thread going a while back with links to many great home built shmup models, including many R-Type units...

Notice the cool Starship Carrier garage kit on the very last pic at the very bottom is taken from the cool 1997 Starship Troopers film. ^_~

I ordered 2 of em last year. Still in box and it was never outside of it.
I would sell one for 180,- Euro.

Man, that is gorgeous. One of the most memorable stages of any game right there.

What kind of quality were the prepainted ones? I have the kit, but I painted it myself.
