Too bad I don't own the DS version to unlock the final Galaxy, nor an extra Wiimote to experience the multiplayer modes.

I also like that the game includes Retro Evolved, which is also fun to play.
Excellent buy for $20 brand new!
Yeah, nothing beats trying to rack up multipliers, plus using your best reflex and survival skills to keep the score going. Geometry Wars is definitely an endurance shmup.dcharlie wrote:have both wii and DS versions, both great.
Given i also have the XBLA gmaes too , i'd kill for a full hires version.
That's an interesting bit of info. I was actually considering getting the DS version sometime (whenever I happen to buy a DS, lol) just to unlock Lameda; I heard it was an awesome Galaxy.Malc74 wrote:The Wii version is significantly better than the DS one IMO. I find the action slows to a crawl on some of the DS levels, and they actually become ridiculously easy as you can just sit in one spot and mow down the slowly spawning enemies.
I spent a lot of time with both versions though - great games and criminally overlooked.
I don't seem to find that to be the case; you can pretty much adjust and train your eyes to have very quick reflexes. And the particle effects blocking my view is bullshit x1000, I never had a problem with that EVER, lol.Jockel wrote:I don't like the shitstorm of particle effects that's blocking your view all the time.
And the enemies more than often spawn directly in your way, making dodging those
bastards very hard. That's the reason why i don't enjoy the GWs.
Uh.. you serious, lol?trivial wrote:IR-camera aiming with the Wii remote works very well. It is tiring, however.
For instance, that's the sole reason I won't be repurchasing Metroid Prime etc. when their Wiimade compilation is released.
You try playing a game holding your remote the same way many of us channel surf for hours on end and then come back to us.redeyeguy_KIO wrote:I just can't seem to imagine how playing with the Wiimote can tire someone out
