Japanese(NTSC-J) xbox 360 repair in the UK.
Hi I know this has probally been answered somewhere else but can you get a japanese 360 repaired in the UK as mine is now unplayable. Thanks
My first suggestion would be to contact the place you bought it from and see if they can do anything. It's a stretch, but if you have a legit JP system that you haven't performed any mods on, Microsoft -might- be willing to do something about it. Doubtful, but maybe.

Well I bought it off ebay more than a year ago. Also I don't fancy having to buy an arcade off play asia because of the postage price and the possible customs charge. Last time I contacted xbox customer support they said they would accept Japanese consoles. I'll try to contact them again just to make sure.

0800 587 1102 is microsoft's number. but you can also ring 0900 587 1105 - it's an automated number where you can put the serial number in and see if a console is eligible for free repair under warranty. don't fancy your chances though mate, best of luck

you shouldn't have even mentioned that... it just confuses the phone operators, they are clueless...... just give them the serial number.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Problem is, if they replace it rather than repair it you're stuck with a console of the wrong region.
I seem to remember someone in the UK saying they got their J360 fixed by MS. Can't remember what the circumstances were, or if they even knew it was an import.
I figured that if I ever had to send it in for repairs, I'd feed the rep some line about how I taught English in Japan when the 360 launched and all my games are Japanese and region locked.

You should tell them to plug it straight into the wall, they will know the difference quite quickly after thatRebel Ninja wrote:I contacted customer support and they said they where unsure if they could repair it. They are going to contact me back to let me know although I am not feeling that confident because the service operator actually asked me what the difference was between my pal and ntsc-j console.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Thanks LordStar for the offer but I have found a few local places that will repair it for me. I am just in the process of finding the best deal. Thanks again though for the offer.Lordstar wrote:is it red ring of death?
