Good point! Even though my Namco Exceleena cab has built in cup-holders, I don't want to be cleaning stuff out of the controls.

So many games I'd like to try... Okay, if that's the list so far, then I'll try to go. I have no games I want to bring, though.

Ketsui? Dragon Blaze? That's a pretty impressive list. If I make it, I can still bring Batrider and Blazing Star since you've got the others I own. Blazing Star is a horizontal though BTW.

I don't think that I can resist checking out some Raizing goodness. Hot damn, that's a grip of vert PCBs you got their. Shmup action in North Cali that rivals arcades in Japan. Count me in.

Yes, everything is looking good for next Saturday the 18th. Got the garage cleaned up, and the Astro City cab back together with a transplanted monitor. I am running low on space though, and am not sure where to setup the large monitor for misc console stuff.

I'm thinking people can start coming anytime after 10am, and wrap up by 5pm if not completely bored by then. Again, any food/drink you can bring is appreciated. There is also an Albertsons close-by if we need to make a run.

I will send out directions via PM by Thursday of next week. So if anyone else is interested, sign up now.

I'm in. If anyone wants me to bring any of the DC and PSX games I listed above, please list them.

I will also bring junk food.

And seeing the thread on the main chat about the shmupmeet video, we really need to tape Bern D 1CC Ketsui on his first go. :D

Sure bring the sticks, if not to play fighters, at least to play other shmups on the misc console setup (I hate controllers). Being a shmup meet I doubt you will get much compitition, but could be a nice break. Is it for DC? I have DC, PS2, and GC. The PS2 cannot play import psx discs, and is picky with import PS2 (being swapmagic/hdloader).

In general, if you have a game or console I do not have listed in my previous posts, you are welcome to bring it.

Goz, glad you are in. I always forget about the Super Auction. Figures it would be on the same day as the shmupmeet. Anyway since I don't have a truck, and its very rare they ever get japanese cabs, I doubt they will have anything I'm interested in. :(

I know I'm going just to play games and check if there's a Jap cab. I'm bringing the van just in case.

Hey, one more thing. Will someone have DDPDOJ there? I need to play this game with some people. I'll gladly bring it if need be.

Yep, I got it (see my list above).

Update: I got the large monitor all setup for playing misc console games, so please bring any console/game that I do not have listed above. This includes any arcade sticks for DC and PS2. I'm hoping someone will bring a Saturn or PCE/Duo/TG16. :D This shmupmeet is going to kick some serious ass!

I will bring my Saturn over(and my complete PSX, Saturn, DC ect shmups converters). Also my PS2 could read import PSx games and import PS2 since its modded with Messiah 2 pro chip., i was wondering should i bring over some PC dojin Shmups, or is it going to be too much trouble since you have to get your PC to allow for Japanese language settings.

I have mix of PC Dojin shmups and 2d fighters

Angeraze 2
Jets N Guns
Perfect Cherry Blossom
Impershible Night
Emobidment of Scarlet Devil
Gundemonium
Gundeadlign
Tobi Touka
Bike Banditz

2D fighters
Melty Blood
Eternal fighter series
Queen of Hearts 2001 Party Breaker

Yeah, I've had problems installing those dojin shooters before...if you remember what the intsallation menu options were, it will work, but its hit or miss for me. I also have a PS2 usb converter if someone can bring a PS2 arcade stick.

Definately bring the modded PS2 as well, since my swapmagic won't play PSX imports.

Wow, so many games, I hope we have time to play them all!

Ooooh Melty Blood. Wanted to play that one for a while.

I was going to offer to bring a super gun for an option to have more people playing, but seems we have quite a lot lined up already.

You can download the demo and fan made english pack for free. I linked it on BYOAC awhile ago if you do a search.

Yeah, supergun will probably be overkill...unless your supergun has a scart cable input...then it could rock through my XRGB2+ scan converter.

For the Cave-developed games, could we please have the software autofire on? I prefer to play with it on.

Certainly. Ketsui has it on as default setting, and I just started getting used to it on DoDonPachi now that I switched to the C ship to try a 1cc.

Ok, I just sent out directions for the shmupmeet happening this Saturday the 18th (check your PMs). I sent to everyone who had posted in this thread (except russ :)), so I counted 11 people. If you did not get directions, or anyone else wants directions, please PM me.

Thanks, and see you all on Saturday!
