I tried searching honest (Batasugun, MAME)

I get a lack of sound and dodgy graphics.
Most other games work fne
Any way round this?

When buying a Batsugun PCB, there both original JPN region and bootlegged versions to beware of. I've got a bootlegged Batsugun PCB and it displays "For Japan Only" on the main title screen along with an original Toaplan one as well. There aren't any distguishing marks on it compared to an original Toaplan produced one with the Toaplan logo and "Made in Japan" phrase printed directly on the PCB itself.
Some second-hand arcade PCB shops have unknownly sold a bootlegged Batsugun PCB to a buyer thinking that it was an original one -- it's always a good idea to get a pic of the actual Batsugun PCB to see if it is genuine or a boot before plunking down your hard-earned $$$.
A Batsugun PCB with both regular and Special Version roms soldiered togther and switchable via a toggle region switch (without the need to swap game version Roms) are out there in the wilds. ^_~

Ah well. I'll just have to live with it for now. Don't have a Saturn (yet)

Also, Toaplan games have upcoming rom fixes in MAME. So there will be sound in all games, it's just a matter of time now.

No, the decapping project didn't exist until recently. Now that they have access to the proper info, there will be sound "shortly".Erinu wrote:Epic fail. If there was a way of fixing the MAME ROM don't you think somebody would have posted it before now?

So, more like epic win.

I've only played the arcade version once or twice a long time ago... So while I can't say how accurate it is, I can say that the Saturn version is excellent and well worth the money as far as being a quality game goes.Rob wrote:How is the Saturn emulation?

I hear you can get the internet on computers now.Ed Oscuro wrote:I don't think there's anything wrong with "the ROM," unless there's a ROM hidden inside a decapped chip (from what I read on The Guru's site it does seem like they're interested in data tables in the chip), er, highly technical bzns in hurr
