Power Strike 2 (SMS) question
What's the use of those rotating options you get? They seem to just be for blocking bullets and that's it, but the Xenocide Files review says they change various weapons' firing speed as well...which I haven't noticed.

Not sure what you mean for normal speed, but be aware that the game is fully optimized to play under 50hz. That is, the correct speed and music is at 50hz - playing on NTSC will be unnaturally faster.Ed Oscuro wrote:Hopefully it won't be too terrible to play on a JPN SMS (at slightly faster than normal speed).
Re:
I read at the http://www.sega8bit.com forums that this may not be the case and that the faster speed in NTSC and PAL-M may very well be the correct speed. There are also a few games that are optimized for both 50 and 60Hz.Turrican wrote:Not sure what you mean for normal speed, but be aware that the game is fully optimized to play under 50hz. I played it over at deadtech's place and it seemed to run at a good speed. You could give it a shot on emulator if you're curious.
This one is definitely on my wish list =)

Humans, think about what you have done
Re: Re:
That's good to know. Certainly the game speed doesn't seem "wrong" at the faster pace; music seems fine too.BrianC wrote:I read at the http://www.sega8bit.com forums that this may not be the case and that the faster speed in NTSC and PAL-M may very well be the correct speed. ...I still need to actually plug the real game in though
