Yes, they might suck, but I like them even so. I even love them.
And sometimes they are easy, making you feel a bit better for being beaten and raped by a bullet hell you'e dedicating yourself so much to 1CC....

my gaming time is precious....i dont waste a moment of it on games that arent worthy of my time
I don't think its stupid. The fact that he's presenting it in a forum in weird virtual ways he's not alone and adds to the excitement for lack of a better word. It's also a nice deviation from playing the same old good games. Hell, you may even wind up liking the game afterward.
i loved REE when it was 1s released about 4 years ago!... why do you hate it???
It's isometric. I'm a big fan of Platine Dispositif myself, and I love their games. I actually went out of my way to track them down and purchase them, including REE. But uh.. it's just so frustrating. Maid Samba is also pretty frustrating due to the 8bit Castlevania controls, but I think it's intentional.
Anyway, REE is difficult and I find it frustrating to play. As with Hitogata Happa, you can get yourself trapped with absolutely no way of getting out due to lack of bombs/dolls/health.
ah, ok... i find REE pretty darn difficult too, most of it for the Isometric perspective... but Hitogata is by far the one y like the most from murasame. is true that sometimes you'll get yourself trapped w/o bombs... and the fact tht you HAVE to suicide to kill bosses makes it even more difficult... but, dont you enjoy the game anyway?

if you think of it as a challenge, as i did when i was younger beating thundercade (nes), it could be worthy of one's time. but, it's a challenge both in skill and patience, i might add!
i also recall beating phalanx (snes), the game with the old guy playing a banjo on the cover. it wa horrible, but beat it just because it was a challenge presented to me from a friend.
i understand what you guys are saying....i guess you just have more time on your hands than me for playing games....i barely have time to play the games i love let alone spend any time on games i DONT even like
i am very selective of the games i invest my time in....

i really don't have more time. so i guess i'm just respecting those that do (like my past self when i was a child). then again, i didn't have much time to play games as a child, and my parents pushed me away from it, it was more the limited options in games that made me play and beat games i did not like!
i really don't have time to play all the games i want, and i wish i did. i still have games i own that i have not touched!

Sometimes, yet I can't take it seriously because it's isometric. I enjoy Hitogata a lot more. The same applies to DanDeLion, that game which they released where you control your character with your mouse, group circles of bullets and fire them back at the enemies. It's fun but I can't take it seriously.
XDR mission accomplished..................

urgh.... I could've played a lot more by the way things were going, but I got so bored that I died cheaply before the 2nd boss. And it's virtually impossible to recover from that, even in the 1st loop.

My target game will be X-Dazedly Ray.
Anyone else going to pledge to the torture challange? Pick a shmup game you think is really crappy and try to clear it.
Please stick to the lesser known games if possible.
I cleared Sigma Star Saga, does that count? I do hate it. The characters are great, but as a GAME it just doesn't work. Too many different ideas that don't fit together, and the shmup stages are boring and annoying.
EDIT: Got all endings and unlocked everything. ONCE. And never again.
