I understand about the crazy prices for Japanese produce and such. One time, I was browsing through a small Japanese farmer's market and saw that they had small watermelons for sale. They were priced at 7,000 yen each. I thought that was quite expensive since you can buy a watermelon in the USA for mere pennies on the dollar. Sure, it's the Mexican labors that do all the hard work that no else is willing to harvest fruits and veggies to feed the USA and the rest of the world. Without them, there would be no food on the table alrighty. ^_~GaijinPunch wrote:If you get all that for $40, it's not worth bitching about. No joke, I couldn't get 20 apples for $40...even the bad ones. Be thankful you live in a country smart enough to rape and pillage other countries for oil.UnscathedFlyingObject wrote:$40 worth of perishables.
