Thing about Buffy is that it gets better with every episode. I watched Angel (all episodes) before watching Buffy, so for me it was like a prequel, but once Spike is a regular, 'tis great!captpain wrote:I'm going through the Buffy episodes for the first time ever, through the eyes of a 20 year old male, and I have to say -- despite it being geared towards 'quirky' 14 year old girls, I'm having fun in a guilty pleasure sort of sense.

Agreed - Buffy's best seasons were definitely 1-3, and probably 5. 6 was good for how it took a different approach, and while 7 was a tad letdown, it gets better w/ subsequent viewings. I didn't care for how they wrapped it up the first time through Season 7, but after having watched through it 2-3 times, I realize it's better than I first thought.Mortificator wrote:I really liked Buffy and Angel back in the day (which wasn't that long ago, actually...). Buffy kind of lost something when the series went from high school to college, though, while Angel didn't hit its stride until later.
I DVR'd "Dollhouse" but haven't had the chance to watch it yet due to a busy work schedule - hopefully this weekend!
Yeah, I'm glad I watched Angel before Buffy. Though the character development of Wesley from useless "vampire hunter" to all kinds of cool guy was really great to watch. And also:D wrote:I liked Buffy too. Angel was a big step back.

is so damn fine. Glad to see her back in Dollhouse, scarred face or not.
