Fixed. I don't believe it sold very well either, so the odds probably aren't that great...off the cuff I wasn't particularly fond of it myself, though maybe I need more practice.

Not such a big fan of Death Smiles, either. Can`t even say why - the graphics are fantastic and the gane plays quite well. Somehow it doesn`t click. It`s still a good game, but as someone said before this is one of the possible games I am least looking forward to. Ketsui 2, though, that would be bloody awesome. In high res and everything, real broodal sweaty military action for real men, not that faggy nerdy gothloli bullshit.

This is supposed to be a light gun shooter, I think.
True. I'll admit I'm kind of curious about Elevator Action Death Parade. Being in an elevator does sound fairly limiting for a gun game, but I'm sure Taito could pull off something decent.

It's a shame Cave have been complete "cock nuts" (as Gaijin Punch rightly puts it) about photos. If I were in charge there, I'd encourage photos to help promote the game.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

So, is anyone going. It could be nice to meet up with people from this forum who live in Tokyo (or happen to be here) and spend a day at AOU. I might have work this weekend though... damn pachinko!!

Hey Gaijin Punch,

Are you attending this AOU 2009 show? It sure would be nice to get some high-res pics and some obligatory videos as well. ^_~

Some videos of the AOU '09 booth babes would be awfully mighty nice as well. ^_~

It was at ATEI in London a couple of weeks ago. Very much reminiscent of Crisis Zone, indeed (including the "duck behind a shield on reload") but 2 player (yay). I quite liked it.

There was someone in a thread requesting info about Border Break. This was in the latest Famitsu:

"Border Break: Sega Network Robot Wars
- for arcade
- 10 vs 10 robot fighter"

I found some Razing Storm vids on Youtube, and I'm impressed.

Both players share the same screen, but at least this quashes any chance of bitching about a cocked up 2P mode in the PS3 port.

I can't wait until it turns up at GameWorks. I love that music in the trailer. Thunder Force boss BGM style guitar rock with these lyrics "Ev'rything I touch turns to ashes! Falls away! Falls away! Ev'rything I touch turns to ashes, slips right through my hands!"

When this is announced for PS3- I'm damn sure preordering it. Hopefully the PS3 port would add Crisis Zone (ports of the arcade and PS2 versions, but get rid of that smoke effect in the latter one) as a bonus.

The PS2 and arcade versions of CZ score differently. Just clearing stages as quickly as possible helps in the arcade one, but in the PS2 one you need to combo well.

I wouldn't mind a Double Gun mode in a PS3 version of RS, as well as some Crisis Missions.

Does the Game Works by you have 2 Spicy? Both by me don't have it. I heard that they had a deal with Sega and that's one of the main games in the agreement. That and Let's go Jungle, that game is everywhere I've actual seen it turn up in more arcades then HoTD4. Apparently 2 Spicy is all over Europe from what I hear, not sure how frequent it is in Japan.

Did the Rambo game ever come out in the states? It kind of makes me smile how Sega is scooping up badass movie franchises and turning them into hardcore action games. It's like the Late 80's or early 90's again(ironically enough parts of those movie franchises were released within that time frame.)

Man it is a great time to be arcade rail FPS fan, between all the stuff that's come out since Virtue Cop 3 and this new stuff the selection even at corny places like Dave and Busters is off the chain.

Check out these vid's of Elevator action Death Parade.

I wonder what Sega and Namco's next rail shooter's will be(or if their will be any). It's been awhile since a Time Crisis or anything from Sega's 2 big properties.

The GW by me does have 2 Spicy, as well as LGJ & HotD 4. Rambo did come out in the States. Rambo is OK, but you can't really use the exploding arrows except for a few scenes (e.g. shooting down a helicopter). The exploding arrows should've been usable like the grenades in HotD4, as a desperation attack. It would've been cool for the Rage feature to be VC3 style slow-mo.

Namco's next light gun game after Razing Storm may be Cobra 2. I guess a Time Crisis 5 could come next year. Something that could be interesting in TC5: instead of the 3-screen battle, they could have a Quad-Screen Battle which would allow you to rotate 360 degrees, in increments of 90. Maybe even a scene during the Wild Dog fight where the player uses a gravity gun against him. If Wild Dog throws a box at you, you could then use the GG to throw it back.
