Why you guys hate the game when you didn't even play it yet?
Just because one person tell you don't play the game just because it's no good doesn't mean that it sucks to you. Many people told me that Mars Martix sucks big time, then I play it for the Dreamcast, I like it a lot.
I still don't get it, you already said the game sucks, and you didn't even play it. People told you don't get this game, well I'm going to try out the game if I like it or not, I don't want no one to tell me what should I play.

Some info on the extras for the DC port is now listed at triangle-service's
website ( http://www.triangleservice.co.jp/ ).

Kron was so nice to post a translation of it on DC-petition.
I have taken the liberty to cut 'n paste hist post there, but of course all kudos to Kron!

Kron wrote:

-9 Ranking modes:
arcade mode,
score attack stage 1-6,
score attack lifting (bonus game),
score attack extra
-New stages
-Sound test mode
-Inclusion of a mini game

Also the game is now up for order on Sega Direct and as a pre-order incentive you get a full soundtrack cd (as well as the first print run bonus bandana).
hmm new stages, a mini game, 2p simultaneous, internet ranking!?
I wonder if it even has score saving? ;)

Can anyone post screenshots of the LiftLiftLift bonus game? I'd like to see what it's like, but it doesn't run on my system.

I used to buy every shmup on DC they'd put out, but I eventually realized that unless they did something different I wouldn't really play them that long before going back to Mars Matrix or Border Down or whatever. I passed on Chaos Field, and I'll probably pass on this.

BUT, if Senko no Ronde gets a DC, wild beasts won't be able to keep me away. That's a twist on the genre that could provide some real multiplayer fun.

Whats up Frog! Haven't heard from you in awhile. Anyways, I completely agree. The DC just outdid itself with Border Down and Mars Matrix. :D

Kron's translation pretty much seals the deal. I'm pre-ordering. Only question is, how can I ensure I'll get the soundtrack? Does Sega Direct ship to the US?

Theres no problem w/ buying it and sitting on it till later. Its prolly not good enough to make it to another system and thus the value should go up after a year.

No, they only ship within Japan!

If you REALLY want it try asking someone you trust and who's living in Japan to order it for you. It's gonna cost you extra anyway so why not wait for the game first and see if you like the music?

Yes, you are. Despite the fact that Psyvarier II was ass and Chaos Field may or may not have been ass (haven't played it yet myself), the fact remains that as long as these games keep selling, more games will come to the DC, and maybe... just MAYBE... those sales will convince G.Rev to put their newest offering on the DC.

PlasmaDancer wrote:I wasted a few credits on Trizeal a couple of months ago, and departed feeling utterly unimpressed. Admittedly, I didn't give it much of a chance, but there are too many very good shmups around at the moment for me to persevere with one that appeared to do little other than play on 16-bit nostalgia and offer a few half hearted attempts at 3d. A bit harsh, maybe, but I'd urge people to look carefully before spending a lot on the DC port.
Bleh. Every impression I read of the gameplay makes it sound as generic as it looks.

This is one of those where I wish there was a rent-before-you-buy option. It isn't about Chaos Field and Psyvariar 2. The think is, I liked Psyvariar Revision--so I was more than perfectly happy to give Psyvariar 2 a chance. But with this one, I know I didn't care for XIIStag--is this going to be any different? The talk that it is somewhat like Shienryu makes me optimistic since even a really generic vertical shooter can be fun if done well (though look at Shienryu explosioins! Blah!) So once again, I feel like it is 'wait and see' time, because although there are certainly some shmups I love that everyone hates, it's still hard to put down $60 when the general concensus seems to be NO.

Hello dears, here's the link to Dreamcast Direct's page on this game:

http://segadirect.jp/Catalog/ProductDet ... 1002-00987

Release date of 4/7/05. So far there hasn't been a DC shooter I didn't like, and that includes Psyvariar 2. Haven't played Chaos Field or this game yet, though. I really wasn't impressed with XII Stag, though, so perhaps I may hold off. I wish this game was under 5,000 yen like Chaos Field...

It's so easy for me to put down $60 when the general concensus seems to be NO.

Now, If I had 60 dollars...

I have preordered it.

At first I wasn't really interested, but all this 'diet Shienryu' talk got me intrigued. Plus I like the screenshots (much more than those of Raiden III).

If it plays at least remotely like Shienryu with its modern approach to oldschool gameplay (thus being a much appreciated break from the established manic formulas), it's the shmup I've waited for the last few years.

I'm gonna pre-order just for that.I was normally gonna wait until the game appears on another system but it seems like that won't be to likely.

BTW that project Lambda game looks ace a bit like what Starfox assault should have been.

Hmm, old-skool Starfox... it also reminds me of Panzer Dragoon, for the aim-locking... with a bit of After Burner and Thunder Blade in the mix... hope it comes to one of the next-gen systems, it looks sweet.

Aww, damn. I'm tempted to pre-order it now on account of that speech. Now if there was only a pre-order bonus like a soundtrack as a third service, I'd do it instantly.

Its really sad to read that, Unfortunately many game buying consumers (especially in the west) are just as faceless and ignorant as the large corporate game developers who show no respect to the concept of a videogame.

There is such an overabundance of people who aren't willing to give things a chance or any oportunity for growth and in the end the gamer is the loser as the options and choices deminish.
